Been with BTT for 5 years now. Neighbors are nice and decent until my husband and I encountered one who hates my race and makes no qualms about it. Will not go into "blood curdling" details only to say that the officer who conducted interviews based on the recent "attack" against my reputation drew the same conclusion. We chose not to file a case and opted to move out. For "world peace".

My lease was not up yet so we knew we had to put up with my neighbors BFS for 3 --------------------------, the Resident Manager as well as her superior, Ms.-------------, came to our aid. Their genuine concern for my emotional welfare prompted them to waive the remainder of our lease and give us keys to another unit in another building. Readers may say that this "concern" is merely a "strategy" of BTT to keep the bucks flowing. Name me an apartment complex who does'nt' BTT did not have to give a rat's ass about my plight. Its out of their ambit. BUT THEY DID and I genuinely appreciate it.

We pay the prevailing market price as well as water, pet fee and Brion services. We were not coaxed nor paid to write this review. This is not our source of income.

Till my husband and I decide to purchase a house, we are assured knowing that we are around people who care.

This post seems to confuse issues of civil slander (for which there is no criminal remedy) with issues of criminal assault. What are we dealing with here? Why where the police called? Civil slander or did it rise to the level of criminal assault??? Which entity motivated the need to post here? On premises management -------------------) or home office management (Ms.-------------). Or are we to believe you just out of the blue decided to post. Regardless of whether you pursued a criminal remedy by "filing charges"... if one conceivably was available which does not seem likely based on the post ... the proper course of action was NOT the one taken. If there is in fact a dangerous bigot on the premises that bigot should be the one to A. MOVE TO ANOTHER APARTMENT or the best solution for present and future tenants B. MOVE TO ANOTHER APARTMENT COMPLEX. It appears this offender has been left in place to potentially harrass yet another victim. Bent Tree Trails has done you NO FAVORS. Bent Tree Trails has left an abusive bigot in place to harm again with the lesson ... no consequence. TELL ME BENT TREE TRAILS WILL ORDER THIS OFFENDER TO MOVE AT THE END OF THEIR LEASE PERIOD AND I WILL BE IMPRESSED. AS IT STANDS NOW ANOTHER PERSON OF YOUR RACE WILL BE POTENTIALLY SUBJECTED TO THE SAME TREATMENT. POST YOUR RACE SO PERSONS OF THAT RACE WILL KNOW WHAT THE POTENTIAL HERE IS FOR THEM. NOT IMPRESSED AND YOU MUST BE BRAINWASHED TO THINK THIS IS AN EQUITABLE SOLUTION. This is not 'world peace.' This is bull ---- and the whole story has not been posted. What was the potential crime the police were investigating. Was it slander (which is a civil cause of action NOT A CRIMINAL CAUSE OF ACTION -- or was it assault which is a criminal cause of action) ... did anyone but YOU hear it -- see it? Sounds like two residents got into a squabble and one had to move. Where's the favor? If you were criminally assaulted whether you file charges or not and management BELIEVES you then the assaulter should be G-O-N-E.

Mr,/Ms. Anonymous: Yes, there is no criminal remedy. This is why i chose to move. As ive stated, i will not go into details. I decided to post. What's wrong with that? I fight my own battles. I am not on a crusade. I leave it up to BTT's better judgement to handle this situation. I respect your opinion about the whole thing. Youre entitled to that. As i am entitled not to post the whole story for anyones entertainment. God bless you.

Okay, why has the BIGOT been made to move??? This COURSE OF ACTION BY BENT TREE TRAILS PROTECTS THEIR REVENUE STREAM BUT NOT THE TENANTS. The lease you signed notes that Bent Tree Trails had the right to make the BIGOT move. Why are you saying Bent Tree Trails did YOU A FAVOR MAKING YOU MOVE? Do not get this at all. Here is what the lease says....................................................... PROHIBITED CONDUCT. You and your occupants or guests may not engage in the following activities: criminal conduct; behaving in a loud or obnoxious manner; disturbing or threatening the rights, comfort, health, safety, or convenience of others (including our agents and employees) in or near the apartment community; disrupting our business operations; manufacturing, delivering, or possessing a controlled substance or drug paraphernalia; engaging in or threatening violence; possessing a weapon prohibited by state law; discharging a firearm in the apartment community; displaying or possessing a gun, knife, or other weapon in the common area in a way that may alarm others; storing anything in closets having gas appliances; tampering with utilities or telecommunications; bringing hazardous materials into the apartment community; using windows for entry or exit; heating the apartment with a gas-operated cooking stove or oven; or injuring our reputation by making bad faith allegations against us to others.
