I am a current resident and here is the experience -

1. Absolutely no security what-so-ever; apartments are regularly burglarized (solution offered is to keep the lights on when not at home), cars behind security gates broken into (solution offered is not to leave anything valuable in the car); apartment entry gates are propped open all the time (just about anyone can walk in at will).
2. Poor quality apartments; a Salvation Army dormitory feel to it. Gets extremely noisy due to thin walls, creaky ceilings (they do nothing to fix it), terrible carpets that shed fibers, leaky dishwasher, doors and locks that don't close properly; holes in bathtubs (takes weeks to fix by external contractors who leave the apartment in a mess when done).
3. Property sells out to public events; there are too many events, especially during summer. Gets crowded, property roads are cordoned off, garage entry is monitored and closed at times; terrible noise from these events for days, drunk people hang around after, creating a racket.
4. Rent is disproportionately high for what you get and is increased each successive year despite deteriorating conditions.
5. One garage-entry key per apartment; one car sticker per apartment, second car requires street parking.
6. Terrible fiend of a Retention Manager - Rachael Wersal; one would expect a Retention Manager to be friendly, helpful and customer-focused but she is the exact opposite. Great Property Manager though - Jodi Harrison.
7. The location is the best thing about this property.
8. Service, retail outlets and a variety of restaurants within the property add value.
9. Good maintenance of property area and no, I have not seen roaches that so many other reviews mention. But there are just too many dogs around on the property.

I strongly recommend you exhaust all other options before coming here. Good luck!

I would like to echo this user's comments on Rachel ... she's never been rude or mean to me or anything like that but for someone who is in charge of resident retention, she has the worst customer service skills I have ever seen! Anything you come to her with, she'll just instantly seem uninterested and shrug it off. Again, she's never mean per se but her utter indifference can be hurtful, especially when you have a legitimate concern or need. I'm pretty sure they've instructed her to function that way. I just wish they hadn't given her such a superfluous title.

PERFECT description of Rachel. I wouldn't give Jodi any free passes either as she can be just as cold and unhelpful. Rachel comes across as the typical bitchy sorority girl that represents everything wrong with this town. She is very quick to dismiss your concerns even before you are able to get the words out. I had to explain my issues to her multiple times before she understood. She's obviously following her corporate instructions, however, if you attempt to renew your lease, get ready to pay out the ass. I'm actually paying $200 less today than my neighbor for the same exact apartment and he's been there for 3 years longer than me! They screw their current tenants and reward new people. They continuously raise rent yet haven't added anything as far as bars or restaurants. They have, however, added plenty of City of Addison events to make it an absolute pain on all of the residents. We don't even receive free passes to the events for our troubles.
