I signed a short term lease (4 months) due to a job transfer to the area. I needed a place quick and knew we would be buying a house. I lived in this studio apartment by myself for a total of 8 weeks before we purchased a house and I moved out. I gave them 60 days notice (required) and that was when my lease was up as well. I paid them rent and utilities each month even though I was not living there. My lease expired on Memorial Day (holiday, office closed) and when I went to the office the next day they "pro-rated" my rent for ONE additional day! They actually charged me 16 CENTS for 1 day of garbage pickup ($10 per month. They also charged me for carpet cleaning after 8 weeks of use. I never even ate there, all I did was sleep, shower and change my clothes. The NOISE from the airport is horrendous, especially when the commuter jets crank up at 4 am on Monday and Friday mornings!! The weekend noise is terrible with the party atmosphere. Insulation between apartments is good but to the outside is TERRIBLE! I laid in bed on the THIRD floor and could hear people carrying on a conversation on the sidewalk below like they were standing at the foot of my bed. Parking sucks and the elevators are inconvenient, especially when hauling groceries. The street lighting is horrible (visit at night) and the interior hallway lights are gloomy at best. I am a retired police officer and I did not feel at all secure when walking to and from my car or in the hallways at night. Security is non-existent until it comes to parking violations. The front bumper of my car was 8 inches into a fire zone (very poorly marked) and I got a $185 parking ticket with 10 days to pay it. This is a yuppie, over-priced party place.

Post does not issue parking violations for fire zones, that would come from the town of Addison, and as a former police officer, shouldn't you have known better?

I have no noise problems in building 4 (I wonder if you were in building 1 as that has the big pool in it). Maybe once a week I can hear my upstairs neighbor turn on her water, but then that happens in most apartments. Also, I've seen at least 2 Addison police do drive-thru each day. I'm a 22 single female and I feel totally safe walking to and from my car...and I have to cross a street to get from my parking structure to my apartment building. Just as a point of reference, I have lived in downtown Baltimore City and central Pennsylvania (very rural), so I have a wide variety of experiences. As far as "party" noises, I have heard some people outside during the park events as late as midnight on weekends, but then, if you are living in a district that advertises it has weekend events, don't you expect this?

Agent9....Excuse me but this was the first time I posted on the site and had some technical issues. I thought my post clearly identified me as a former resident. Not that a username provides anything better than Anonymous so...Agent9 ridiculous are you! To "the other Anonymous"...clearly I know that the violation came from the town of Addison and if you actually READ my post it says the fire zone was very poorly marked. After my complaint to the town, it was repainted and is now much clearer for the remaining residents. Newtie...never had a problem with weekend "events" and enjoyed attending some of them. It was the regular bar stumblers that got old. I still stand by my post and say simply to comparison shop and you will find this place is totally overpriced for what you get in return.

Could not help bu notice those coming to the defense of Post could not counter the private jet claim... Monday and Friday mornings at 4AM, that would not be acceptable. I was in the Aviation side of the Navy and I know how load jets can be when warming up. Must be horrible from inside a mainly glass and mortar structure. I do think what I can see on the outside is awesome and that Addison is outstanding, but it is over priced given the downside. Remember, if you owned it they would surely give you less for it in its present location. Go Addison!
