I have lived at Post Addison Circle for about a year and half now. I just re-signed my lease in August because I didnt have time to look for another apartment. This was a huge mistake. When I first moved in, I had some problems that were taken care of right away but this past year, they have not. First of all, the A/C would stay on all night when it was already cool in my apartment. I asked them to fix it and they said nothing was wrong. After contacting the manager about it, they finally found something wrong with the wires on the top. My electricity bill was a little high for such a small apartment and me not running the A/C below 78. When I renewed my lease, I went in to negotiate keeping my rent the same amount. They wouldnt work with me. All they offered was $250 off my first month's rent. They contacted me once about renewing and then the 60 days came up and still no word. I had to go to the office and remind them to give me a lease. That was after I contacted the manager a few times until she finally responded about it. Just yesterday, I was researching rent at the property for a friend that wants to get an apartment there with me (won't do it now) and saw my exact apartment on the first floor going for $750 and a bigger apartment in the same building going for $760. I looked today just out of curiousity and it was now down to $725 and $740. I wrote the manager a long email detailing this and asking to allow me the $750 rent and take back the $250 discount which I hadn't used yet. I still haven't received a response from her about the issue. I called the office today to ask about it and they indicated I would have to pay a $350 transfer fee to the other apartment to benefit from the $725 rent. I would also have to pay a deposit on the new apartment. This is ridiculous because I know if I moved out, they would turn around and sell my apartment for $725 since their occupancy is down and competition is big right now in Addison especially around the circle.

To sum it all up, I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone or recommend Post. The staff in the office are not helpful by any means. You can never directly speak to a manager. You always have to go through a leasing agent which does me no good. I do appreciate the manager fixing my maintenance problem quickly but that is the least of my problems with the complex.

This company is out for themselves and will find anyway to charge you unnecessary fees and high rent. I can't wait to move somewhere where the resident is appreciated for their business.

I have lived in Post Addison Circle for many years now. I have switched apartments a few times. They do NOT take care of their valued tenants. They are more worried about getting new ones into the complex and screwing the loyal ones. Your story of being charged a lot more than the vacant apartments is pretty common amongst my group of friends. I know that when I moved into my latest apartment I signed on at a rate over $200 less per month than my neighbor down the hall and he has the same layout MINUS a few of the upgrades that I have. He has been living in his apartment for three years. There is no loyalty with Post.

The ONLY thing the Post Properties as a whole is concerned about is revenue. It's as if they see potential residents as walking dollar signs. I wonder how well they commission/bonus their leasing agents and management staff. It must be fabulous because once you've signed your contract and locked in, they lose their customer service skills and ability to remember or write down any concerns you have. It's like selective memory. The ONLY thing that seems to work is posting public reviews on them because they already have so much of a bad reputation out there in the DFW metroplex. It's obvious that their population levels are down since they're making such great deals for incoming tenants and trying to make up the difference with the current ones. I made the mistake of thinking that it's just one of their properties that is managed this way. It happens to be all of them in this area.
