Unbelievably appalling

At first everyone was lovely, they had brand new apartments they needed to fill so they did their best to show off their best features, and there are some good ones. If you like the idea of variety with many different floor plans to choose from, chances are you will find SOMETHING you like at Addison Circle. The courtyards are kept nice, koi ponds, fountains, rooms you can rent if you're having a party(deposit required, that's refundable, the charge for the room ISN'T). After moving in, though, you start to see the cracks.
1) Do you have to be at work early on Saturday or Sunday' Or even Wednesday or Thursday' Hope you don't mind being woken up by screeching tires, honking horns, or shouting across the courtyard from anywhere between 2 to 3am or after. Those Addison Circle partygoers don't care who they wake up and what time of the night it is. Oh, and if you didn't hear them while they were parking, you'll hear 'em in the nice, echo-y hallways and stairwells when they're stumbling home singing and shouting. You weren't dreaming about anything important, anyway.
2) Did you get a good deal on a cool apartment when you first moved in' Be prepared for a HUGE rent increase if you were wanting to stay. $200' Seriously' I guess beauty has its price, but, being a sane individual I was figuring a $50 or $60 hike, max. Serves me right for being naive, I guess.
3) Oh, now you're sick of paying top dollar and getting nothing for it, are you' You're moving out, you say' I hope you don't mind unexpected visits. Yes, it's in your lease (it's in every lease in Dallas, actually, but no other apartments I've ever been in does it) that they can show your place before you've moved out to potential renters. And guess what' They don't have to call you before they come, either. I found this out when a cheery leasing agent came knocking with a potential one morning. I stumbled out of bed to answer the door and there she was, prospect peeking in over her shoulder. I let 'em in to climb over my boxes and view my unmade bed and the dirty dishes in my sink, thinking, "This will be you in a year, sweetie, run away NOW." I think she was too dazzled by the idea of living in a really cool looking place to let her mind go down that path, though, poor thing.
She'll learn. Sometimes you have to experience it yourself.
