The Good: The loc ation is great, central to all that goes on in Addison/Plano/ 15 minutes from Downtown (not in morning traffic of course) It looks good inside and out.
The Bad: Too pricey once the new wears off, and most importantly, YOUR CELL PHONE WILL NOT WORK in the apts....It bugs me the most that THEY lie about it....I moved in before I noticed the lack of connectivity. Then they said "this is the first complaint about it, it must be YOUR service....BS) They know...I asked all my neighbors and it is the same for everyone.....I moved to a 2 bed later and the cell service went from Stand by a window and maybe you get it to nothing at all....It is what it is, I just HATE that they lied about it< i should have the option to move into a place with the knowledge.
FYI: Cell phones now have UMA and you can connect via your wifi in your apt. before that i needed to pay for vonage, but with it, I can use my cell perfectly in doors.
Overall, if you can afford it, not bad.

Great point, I never really thought about it. It's amazing what we'll put up with and not complain.
I used to live in a second floor apartment that faced South on Paschal Place. My cell service was and still is with AT&T/Cingular. When I owned a Moto RAZR V3 phone, I literally had to stick my head out the window to get a "decent" signal. When I upgraded to a Nokia N80, I was able to stand no more than 3 feet from the window. So, the phone does matter (and the same goes for the service I suppose).
What they're not telling you is that between the shoddy electrical wiring (no shielding), their former proprietary wireless network (no one I knew used it but it still caused interference) and the non-existent insulation, each apartment is a like a mini scientific experiment in electromagnetic radiation. Your poor little cell phone doesn't stand a chance!

By the way, if you're still living at Post when you make comments here, you might reconsider: Post management (aka Jodi) is notified whenever postings are made on the website and will email you directly / or post a response online. It was especially annoying when I lived there and posted, got an immediate phone call! I live across the street at 15777 Quorum and have At&t with NO RECEPTION PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER, and the rent is competitive (and interiors totally posh!)

I do still live here, but my lease is up soon. I am looking for something more reasonable for the footage. They try and sell you on the "retail" but in reality, the retail isn't great and way over priced. Pastazio's for example, not great if your sober, and you can easily order Besa's to deliver a much better menu for less, even with delivery...So after you've been here a month or two, the retail is somewhat non existent unless you're strapped for time. Bottom line, I am not knocking Post, the management is actually pretty good, and it's a nice area, but I think it is somewhat over priced for what you get. Management can call me at any point, I don't mind. I am sure I am the only guy in building 7 in a wheelchair, so they should know who I am. My personal rating: I'd say a solid 7.5 out of 10.

I think Post is excellent except for the fact that I had to downgrade from an ATT 3G phone to an EDGE phone to get service. They don't have triple play from Time Warner or multiple options for cable or telephone providers. They do not abide by the TAA Texas Apt. Association and is the only apt. company that will bring people through your apt. while you are still living in it after you provide notice.

The cell phone problem is caused not by wiring, but by the stucco siding used on a number of these buildings. It has a wire mesh backing that effectively blocks signals.
