Excellent Experience

My Benton Pointe experience was excellent. As with any situation... your Benton Pointe experience will be what you make it. I lived in the 689 sq ft 1 bedroom (I see that the rent has gone down a little!) on the third level. Here's my summary:
Apartment - Beautiful, large floor plan, easy to keep clean if you are not the clutter-type. Washer & Dryer - in apt. I never (ever) heard my neighbors during the 13 months that I was there. I was in the back over looking a 'pond' and the apts with the red roof (that look just like B.P.).
Apt. Community - I felt v. safe and comfortable. I would jog in the neighborhood surrounding the apt. building in the mornings or evenings. Beautifully landscapes. Clean and fairly spacious fitness room with good equipment and free weights. Car wash - you likely will not get the spot-free liquid look of a professional wash, but it will certainly allow you to maintain in between.
Parking - okay when I first moved in but got progressively worse. I never parked on the street (outside of the community), but I had to park several buildings away ? this wasn?t a big deal to me b/c I felt safe in the community and besides we could all use a little exercise. Easy solution, buy covered parking (especially since the rent is a little less)!
Leasing Office - they were attentive and responsive to my requests. You must have to understand how to deal with them. You cannot go into an office full of women making demands. Remember they deal with a number of people throughout the day who are often short or rude. You are not the only tenant on the property. It is best to have them as allies than enemies. By direct, friendly and as open and honest w/them as possible, and they will take care of you -- at least that's what they did for me!
One last thing... people PLEASE be thankful for what you have. I moved from Allen to Chicago, and I am about to relocate to D.C. next month. The apts in both cities are old (some are rodent infested & filty) and very expensive. I would live in a complete dump in Chicago or D.C. for what paid at B.P. Count your blessings and enjoy the new banks, grocery stores and low gas prices!
