I've lived at S.G. for about 18 months now, and I have no complaints. I've read the comments here and I understand that some people have had problems. However, it's usually the really upset and angry people who post these comments, so I wanted to add one from somebody who hasn't had problems, becasue not EVERYONE who lives here hates it. In my opinion, the property is well kept and it's so much nicer than the last 2 places I've lived. It's true that the gates do break, but what gated community doesn't have this problem' I'm moving to a different complex tomorrow to be closer to work, and the gates at my new place rarely work, too. When you have something mechanical being used all day everyday, it's going to break from time to time. It's a 'limited access' gate, not a security gate. One thing to look out for, 2 people in my building have had their cars stolen in the past few months. I know this isn't S.G.'s problem, since crime is everywhere, but that's a few too many for me. I'd look into getting a garage. I've only had 1 maintenance request that I called in at 10:00AM and it was fixed that day by the time I returned home from work. The management has been rude to me in the past, but it seems like the current staff has been very helpful. I had a problem with people parking behind my garage and blocking me in and out of it, and the manager wrote a letter and distributed it to all my neighbors. She was very friendly and took care of the problem right away. I would highly recommend Settler's Gate.
