Enjoyable experience

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
My lease ended 8/31/05. I was only moving because I decided to build a house. When I found out my house was not ready, I had to call the office & ask for more time. They stated that my apartment had already been leased, but to give them some time to work with the new people moving in. They called me back the next day & stated I could stay through Sept. Well.....guess what''' My house still wasn't done & I had no where to go! I had to request more time. When I called at the end of Sept, I was told the apartment was leased out to someone coming in from New Orleans & that "they" had no where to go. I told them I would try & move to a hotel & then hung up upset. The manager, Leslie, called me back that same day & found a diffent apartment for the people from New Orleans & has allowed us to stay here until the end of October. Needless to say, I was elated!
I only write this now because when I got on this site to view their reviews, I was shocked at what I saw. I have been late on my rent & I know I had to pay late fees...I signed a contract that I agreed to do so. I don't understand why someone would be mad at the office when "THEY" were the ones late on their rent, no matter how many days it was. This is funny to me. I have some stains on my carpet & I fully expect to pay for them...I caused them. Wow, are people really that ignorant to blame others'!'!'!'!
I would recommend Settler's Gate to all my friends & co-workers.
