I read a few reviews about The Heights and I agree on some of the issues. For instance, my apartment was supposed to be cleaned before I moved in, however, the day I started bringing in my belongings, it was in its original condition. Even though I was the first person to rent the unit, there was construction clutter, dirt, dust, paint sprinkles, cob webs and a broken part inside of my new dishwasher. Unfortunately, I never reported this to the office. I just accepted it "as is" and moved in. I went through and cleaned things myself, except for one thing: the bathtub had what appeared to be a chip in the porcelin near the drain. As it turned out, it was a hole, and water leaked into the downstairs neighbor's bathroom one day. When the maintenance people came to make the repair, they blasted paint sprinkles throughout the bathroom. Not a very professional job done.
Other than those issues, I think the only major one is the noise. You can hear everything from the downstairs apartment including dogs, kids, sex and anything else you NEVER wanted to hear. Not fun if you need a few hours of shut-eye at night.
Also, if you're really lucky, you get to hear the 7am toy-airplane flights from the neighborhood just north of us. It sounds like a weed-eater blasting right outside your window. I have also heard gun shots and inquired about them. Office staff never returned my calls about it. I am situated on the outskirts of the property, so I don't have parking issues. I guess I'm lucky. I think the staff has overall been adequate, but, nothing special. 1 person in the office was extremely rude to me one day, but overall, they are pretty accommodating.
Overall, a pretty nice place to live compared with other communities in Allen/McKinney/Plano area.

I heard gun shots too! And by the way, I complained to the office about some maintenance personal issues I had, and I didn't even get so much as an apology for the ordeal, which I won't go into detail with, but all the girl said was, oh okay.

I have to say, I had not heard the gun shots "that's a little scary" but the apartment and staff have been great. I have had a few maintance issues but they were taken care of immediately. I searched for a long time after selling my home and this was by far the nicest apartment I had seen in all of North Dallas.

My apt was also dirty whenever I moved in. The carpet was filty. I was so disappointed about this big move that I made. I am not happy living in this expensive place. the staff are very immature and they do not care about anything but getting the rent on time. there is poo poo everywhere on the premises. The gates should not have been place there. they should have more than 2 computers. It would be nice to have cups and creamer to go with the coffee.

When my fiance and I moved into our apartment they guaranteed that the apartment was completely clean. I walk into our bathroom which is covered in cat hair. We called the front office and Billy (the ------- american woman) answered the phone. We told her about the issue and she responded well the owner prior did not own any cats. I am sure this fur covering the entire apartment was just placed there by mistake. Not. Luckily we talked to the manage and they were out the next week to clean our floors. Also, Billy likes to make false accusations when it comes to taking your dog outside. She claims she saw our dog with no leash when in fact it was a 40 ft long stretch leash. She claims we were not with our dog when in fact we were the entire time. Luckily the manager is a resspectable manager and realized she was wrong.

Yeah, the apartment staff has been pretty good, although I have overheard the manager being a little rude with tenants. I don't mind the airplanes! Now let's talk about the trash being left on the curb two days before trash pickup...
