The slum Lord owners and management don?t care!!!!

I have lived here 3 years.

When I moved in December 1999 this complex was very nice. Well kept with an attentive staff.

It has rapidly deteriorated to less than a slum. It is embarassing to admit I live and raise my child in such a pit.

Every rainfall brings leaks that cannot be stopped.

My sons carpet is not only without padding, but is molded and rotted. The base boards are rotted and literally falling apart.

The fire place has so much water damage around it there are enormous cracks that run from the floor to the ceiling on both sides of it.

The toilet in the master bathroom ran nonstop for 18 solid months. I finally had to shut the water off EVERY night in the master bathroom to be able to sleep.

The garbage overflows almost daily!!!

There is no maintenance, as they have all quit. The temporary maintenance out of Abilene makes appointments and rarely shows up. Yesterday the water was shut off to the entire building with no notice, and no reason given.

Of late there has been no money available to purchase maintenance equipment and supplies. Recent employees have stated that they are in hock to EVERY vendor they normally use, and cannot get credit for anything with anyone. The pool was recently cleaned with off-brand bottles of bleach rather than proper pool cleaning chemicals. The hot tub has been broken for at least two years, and I highly doubt it will be repaired.

The owner is well aware of the issues and does not care in the least.

The property management company is fast to respond with words to passify and shut the tenants up, however actual action and resolution never comes.

Other issues with this place include drainage, or actually, total lack of drainage. Every rainfall leaves pools of water that eventually dry up, but not before they are stagnant, nat and mosquito infested breeding grounds of bacteria and mold.

Coupled with this are foundation issues that have portions of entire buildings jacked above ground to the point you can see the distorions. (see west end of building 5 for example.)

The air conditioning units are old and not the least bit energy efficient. Many have bare exposed wires, and most have freon leaks that require refilling/servicing every 24 to 72 hours.

In short I would not wish this dump upon my worst enemy!!!
