Can you say water damage and mold?

First of all let me just say that every review is dead on, (with the exception of managements review regarding the floor plans), and in some cases quite leniant.

I moved my daughter and myself into this joke of a complex about a year ago and have been miserable from the start.

The windows in the bedrooms are literally seperated from the buildings frame. I can fit my hand in the enormous seperation between the window frame and the actual building in the master bedroom. Every time it rains the water RUNS, not drips, not pools, not collects, not leak, literally RUNS into the bedrooms around the window frames.

The walls and wood trim surrounding both windows is rotted and loaded with black mold.

When i brought this to the staffs attention I was informed that what I mistaken and what I saw was not mold, it was mildew.

Websters defines mold as follows: "Any of various fungi that often cause disintegration of organic matter."

It defines mildew in this manner: "Any of various fungi that form a superficial, usually whitish growth on plants and various organic materials.

A superficial coating or discoloration of organic materials, such as cloth, paper, or leather, caused by fungi, especially under damp conditions.

A plant disease caused by such fungi."

Both are unhealthy. What I have in my apartment is Mold.

Yesterday to resolve this issue the staff spackled over the rotted molded wood and sheetrock.

My master bathroom faucet ran non-stop for several days. After several calls to the office they finally sent someone to fix it. The problem was resolved by shutting off ALL water to the master bathroom. So, I am paying rent for a 2 bedroom 2 bath apartment, but have only one bathroom that is usable, and no bedrooms that are mold free enough to sleep in.

Finally, last month my air conditioner stopped working. For 4 days I talked with the office staff asking them to fix it.

Finally after threatening to go to the news, attorneys and the health inspector they charged the AC with freon.

This place is awful and is only getting worse.

Last week there were 6 apartments that were vacated, and there are more emptying all the time. This many people cant be wrong.
