There has been many complaints about the management in this facility. There have been many posted reports from many residents (past and present) and still nothing has been done about it.
Now, I must tell you that Mary is a person that is and has been wrong for the management position, and we all know that. She(Mary) is the reason that people are moving out of the complex and still the owner does not see that. She has a rude disposition that is not acceptable to any of us. I've seen her talking to her employees like they are not human. It seems that one minute she is ok and the next she is a totally different person. I think that she has a mental problem. How can you have a mental case running you facility. She needs to be in a facility. Sooner or later the owner will start reading these and make a change, I hope it will not be too late. Because I like these apartments and this community.

Anonymous, Your comments are greatly appreciated as this gives me the opportunity to set the record straight. I have been an employee of Stonegates since 12/05 and the Site Manager since 3/06. Many improvements have occurred since my becoming manager. If you look at our property you can see that it is one of the nicest that Alvin has to offer, the maintenance is exceptional, the occupancy percentage(in other words people are moving in and not moving out) is up substantially and if you speak to the residents they will tell you that they love it here at Stonegate. I was informed by one of the Alvin Police officers that this property is now one of the safest in Alvin. I would also like to address the issue of speaking to the employees. I have and will never speak to anyone in any other tone than what I wish to be spoken to. I would also like to say that if you were concerned about any employee that I may have been speaking out of tone with that you have the right to contact my supervisor and that is what I would had done instead of going to a website to degrade the manager. Please also be informed that when you slander a person as you have slandered me by calling me a mental case that you can be held liable for this. Please be careful about what you type or say about a person. I would also like to say that I am 99.9% sure that I know the author of this complaint and I would encourage you to speak with me with any issue that you may have with me or the property.

Sounds like Mary is threatening the author of this post by stating she is 99.9% sure who it is...as if to say watch yourself. I had a horrible experience when trying to rent an apartment at Stonegate. I am "99.9%" in agreement with the author of this post. I went in to turn in my paper work one afternoon and was treated VERY rudely and sent on my way because "she was too busy." That doesnt sound like management material to me. Nor does it reflect the way a manager should treat a prospective tenant, or human being for that matter. Needless to say, I will not be considering these apts any longer. As Mary stated above, any problems with her can be discussed with her supervisor, I'd love nothing more than to do just that. So, why didn't she post a number to contact him at? Surely her supervisor wouldn't mind, if she's doing as good a job as she says she is.

In response to kiwi976 as manager of Stonegate Apts your perception of my response was incorrect. I feel that it is only fair that when someone post their comments on a web site that they should be careful about what you say as this could be a case for slander. It would be appropriate that if anyone has a problem with me to contact me, give me their name and number and I will be very happy to have my supervisor contact them. If you will please call me I will have my supervisor contact you. I feel that I have brought Stonegate a long way from where they were last December 2005. I have made many improvements here and I work very hard to make all residents happy here. I have never taken paperwork from anyone and then sent them on their way. I would like very much to be at 100% occupancy (Stonegate is now at 90% occupancy),there would be no reason for me to be rude to you. Is it possible that you are confusing me someone else in the office? Reason being is that I do not work the leasing side and have not since May 2006. This is handled by the assistant manager and if you would please contact me I would be very happy to get this matter cleared or have my supervisor contact you.

I have to say that I was at Stonegate about 1 month ago looking for an apartment for my in-laws.I had read some of the comments posted here and was hesitant. I went in and spoke with the assistent manager. I'm assuming that is who she was. I was leaving and a very nice lady stopped me and asked me what i was looking for and when I needed it. She took me back inside and just bent over backwards to help us find something for my in-laws. Come to find out her name was Mary. She didn't have to help. she could have just assumed we had already been taken care of. I'm telling you she worked very hard with us. That just goes to show you can't believe everything you read. It looked to me like one person might have had a problem then had several friends write in. I feel so confident about the staff and the apartments that we are on a waiting list for my in-laws. I surely wouldn't move them to some place I didn't feel 100% about.
