My impressions about Aspen Court apartments, Arlington, TX were completely spoiled by the following circumstances. My lease was signed until the end of September this year. Because of job transfer I moved out earlier and paid my last rent for the August. I gave 60 days advance notice to the former property manager, Donya Mason and was ready to pay off my lease until the end of September. However, Mrs. Mason assured me that I do not need to do that because they signed a lease with new tenant. Two days ago I got the letter from debt collector, stating my debt to Aspen Court as 610.28 $. The explanation of this debt according to new manager is: two weeks rent of September of 360$ (until new lease started) plus a re-letting fee of 612$, plus last water bill, minus my whole security deposit of 400$. I don?t feel it is right! First, I could pay for September and get back my security deposit. Second, I left my new address and phone number, but nobody contacted me. Instead, papers were sent to debt collecting agency.
I paid my ?debt? immediately, but I feel that new management just profited on me.
