This was my first apartment, and first apartments usually are cruddy, but this one takes the cake. For the first 2 1/2 months I was in this place, I had a broken refridgerator, that they claimed was just fine. I had to keep buying and throwing away food because it wasn't keeping the temperature correctly. They FINALLY replaced it, ripping the corner of the carpet when you walk in. After that things were okay for a while and then our A/C went out which took about a week for them to repair. Then the ceiling started leaking in the bathroom around the A/C panel. The leak should have been fixed immediately, but they decided to wait until I was moving out to fix it. Not literally, they came and tinkered with it for a while off and on, but after claiming they fixed it so many times, they finally did, two days before i moved out. Add to this the fact that the building I lived in, was basically a roach motel. I'm not exaggerating or anything like that, if you live in building 2312 expect roaches. At least 3 different species. I only signed a 7 month lease, but for the whole thing I had roaches, They started out small and few, but by the time I left they had taken over. The only place I didn't have roaches everywhere was in the bedroom closet. I highly recommend avoiding this place. They've gone through 3 different managements the whole time I lived there, and were too busy spending money on "FREE" laptops and flat-screen tv's to peak new comers intrest, when they should have been spending the money on repairs and a better maintenance crew.
Avoid this place like the plague.

I don't think it was the managements fault you had roaches. It could have been the people living around you. If they lived nasty then roaches will come. Maybe you should have asked for pest control, some apartments offer it

Yeah I agree with you 100%!! My girlfriend and I have lived here since Feb 06', and the first thing we noticed was that the "renovations" were --------. It looked like they just picked up ammentities from a used lot and threw them in our apartment. The refrigerator was missing a condiment bar on the bottom shelf, the kitchen sink's disposal makes really bad noise when you turn the switch on and makes the whole entire counter shake. When you walk outside on the backporch and look at the foundation of the other units, they are totally off balance and have holes and cracks in the walls. The management sucks, they spend more money renovating the front office then the apartments. It takes 2 to 3 weeks to have maintence come and fix stuff. When they do, they do a half-ass job. NOW the ROACH problem, we didn't start to see roaches until about 4 or 5 months in to our first year here, and they came in bunches. We've had most of the roaches come out from behind the stove area and in the restroom, when we got tired of having to set traps left and right and spraying, we contacted the office, and they said that they would have pest control come out and BOMB our apartment, well they were EXAGGERATING with that statement, because the morning the pest guy got here, as i was about to leave for work, i was expecting him to be here for about an hour or so to kill ALL the roaches, NO he just came in and sprayed in the kitchen and restroom and was out in like 10 seconds. STILL the roaches came back!!! We've told management about this SEVERAL times, and nobody seems to care, they would rather put their promotions and fancy office work in front of having to make living situations better for their residents. My girlfriend and I are currently looking for a new place to live. If you are smart, and are THINKING about moving here, you better look past all the fancy office and look into how the apartments and units look. DON'T MOVE HERE!!! You'll regret it. I know we have for the past year and a half.
