Reasons to not live here

-The office staff seems nice and caring when you first move in. After that you have to call at least 3-4 times to get maintenance requests taken care of.
-The dumpsters are always overflowing and trash is stacked all around them. I feel really sorry for the people who live in the buildings next to them and have to walk by the filth everyday.
-Our rent has gone up $150 since we moved in for an apartment that is only getting older and more run down.
-Drug dealers live in the building next to us, so I'm constantly a "witness" when I'm taking out the trash and pass by during a deal.
-The kitchen is the smallest kitchen of any apartment I've lived in. Two people cannot fit in it at the same time. The pantry is horrible.
-Our eletric bills have been outrageous because of the poor insulation around the windows. We have tried to add some ourselves.
-There have been numerous breakins, and my bf has had his license plate stolen off of his car.
-We have had a big problem with bugs, and we keep out apartment spotless.
-A lot of my friends used to live here. We are all moving out now and some are already gone.

I would like to say "sorry" for your issues with maintenance requests not being taken care of in a timely matter, and assure you that the frustrations you have written in regards to this will be addressed with my team. In regards to the dumpsters; we have recently removed several, and installed a new compactor to better assist in cleanliness and general parking-this is all new to us. We will make sure to monitor the dumpsters and see if we need to schedule another pick up during the week to address the issue. In regards to increase of rent: I am surprised to see you state that your rent has gone up $150 in one year. We have not increased renewal rates at that amount; we offer several different renewal terms with different renewal rates, and the only time rent may increase at that high of a rate is if a resident chooses to renew on a "month to month" basis; which is common in most apartments, to charge a higher rate. In regards to drug dealers, I am definitely not aware of any "drug dealers" on the property. I strongly encourage you to come to the office and speak to me, or my staff, to assist us in involving the proper parties to investigate this allegation. I also encourage you to call the police if you "witness" such an act. In regards to the kitchen; there is not much I can assist you with. Your insulation: If you feel your insulation is not adequate, please call me and I will inspect to see if there is anything we can do for you. In regards to break-ins; unfortunately crime can happen anywhere you live. In regards to your bug problem...we offer bi-monthly extermination and treat all that call and schedule with us. If your bug problem has not been taken care of by the bi-weekly service, please call and we will schedule a specific time with our extermination company to inspect your apartment and see what measures are needed to treat and resolve. I, and my team, truly do care about our residents and strive to make each ones stay a great one; unfortunately, sometimes we fail. I do appreciate your comments, and wish your stay with us was better.

I cannot remember the last time I got a notice of pest control on my door. Replacing many dumpsters with a single compactor does not add value to the customer's experience, it only makes it an inconvenience. Does that $150 increase also include the mandatory cable that is being forced upon existing residents that want to stay here? When I've called the office to respond to people that look like they don't belong on property they tell me to call the police. Don't be shocked that if you go to the office to speak with the manager about your concerns that they'll suggest that you don't sound happy and will give you the option to move out, as that's what they do with tenants the expect them to sing for their supper. Plus, when you move out the leasing agents can make another bonus for renting your apartment to someone else. All about the Benjamins.
