I live in the smallest 1/1 and moved in during July '08. At first I was worried because my apartment "wasn't ready" on my day of move-in because they had not cleaned the carpets. I was still allowed to move all of my things upstairs but I had to keep it on the wood floor so they would still be able to clean my carpet. That's really the only problem I have had here.
It's very quiet on my side of the complex. Covered parking is cheap- $10 a month and it's totally worth it because there are limited uncovered spots. Sometimes on weekends there are no uncovered spots near by so visitors have to park a little far. They DO tow people who do not have a permit and park in a covered spot.
One of the maintenance guys is very nice, he always waves when you drive by and if you see him in person he'll ask you if everything is okay in your apartment.
I've never felt unsafe here and the rent price is very cheap for what you get.
