Not recommended, at all!

I am a college student, and I am completely fair in this review. It may seem a little ridiculous, but if you live here for a week you will understand. First, the positive. The swimming pools look really cool, and that draws you in. Then you move in... Now the negative-
- These apartments are by far the worst I have ever lived in. The management changes every 4-6 months. The maintenance staff is extrememly rude, and takes months to handle requests. When they finally do fix something the job is half-done, and usually falls apart fairly quickly. The staff overall makes you feel like you are just a nuisance to them. The office workers are not responsible, and do not keep adequate records. They lost my pet deposit, and then continously harass me saying I have not paid and threaten to move forward with eviction. We gave what proof of the payment we had to the previous management, but due to a management change, they have apparently lost it and are asking for it again. They also make huge deals out of petty things such as cleanliness of patios, when they have major renovations and repairs that need immediate attention, but have been ignored for quite some time.
The property is not well maintained, and the area is not safe. There has been several robberies, two fires, and a shooting in the 8 months we have lived there. One of the fires (which was in our apartment) was caused by faulty and cheap electrical wiring. We immediately called the fire department (as any sensible person would do) and the management was upset with us for calling them (obviously because they didn't want it on their record, which apparently is more important to them than the lives of their residents.) The outside lights are never on, so I walk to my car in the dark in the morning and at night. The outside gates do not work, allowing anyone access to the apartments. In addition, the parking lot is very poorly set up or supervised. Cars speed through there at ridiculous speeds, and an 8-year old pedestrian was hit a few weeks ago, giving her a broken leg and arm.
Parking is terrible. I can never find a spot close to my building. The apartment has a deal with a taxi company and allows them to park all of their taxi cars/vans there, resulting in their own residents not having places to park.
