If you want a complex that cares, DO NOT RENT HERE!

I have lived in this community since 1998. Ten years. I've out stayed most management companies and great tenants as well as bad ones. We have had only a few Great managers. Everytime we get one that actually cares about the tennants and the complex, they suddenly get replaced by a poor one. Case in point NOW. I am finally fed up.2 Years sgo my apt flooded, MY INUSRANCE paid for all MY DAMAGES and moving expenses. Oh sure they relocated me, gave me a bigger, apt. for same rent but my electric bill doubled,someone was watching me move and took my purse from the managemtn Ofs, and I have rats in the walls.That manager left was replaced by an amazing girl, then again SHE is replaced with this new person. I had been kind and patient with the new person as they said they were getting to this problem,that was November it is May.I had signed a year lease, then the rat prbolem came, and with winter the electric bill & heating problem. When they wanted to raise my rent by 105.00 as my lease would be up 6/30/08 to meet supposed market value, they wouldn't negotiate. EVERYTHING in leasing is negotiable. I was told that another tennant had been robbed twice and they were doing nothing to help her except change her unit.

Here is my problem, MY INSURANCE PAID FOR THEIR MISTAKE< I WAS ROBBED IN TRANSITION OF MOVING,WAS PROMISED SECURITY SYSTEM< HAD IT THEN WHEN OUR GREAT MANAGER LEFT, NO MORE SECURITY SYSTEM,(really makes my lease void, but I dealt with it) THEN RATS CHEWED in bath..outlet. My new neighbor 2 times has broken his window to get in, scaring everyone at 3 am most recently but police were called this time.

And now another POOR manager. Who it is safe to assume that the owner has put in plce because they DO NOT CARE ABOUT our safety here, but the almighty dollar. While this is a beautiful community, Id pay more to live here, but I wont with the rat situation, and a management staff and owner who do NOT care about the things that would make this place safer and more economicol to live. The reason electicity has doubled is the hot water heaters are running inappropriately, old and need to be replaced and the insulation has been ate out by the rats and squirrels. Id pay more to live here, if these issues were handled but they will never be and as a loyal on time paying tennant of 10 years they woulod rather get rid of me by raising rent and have a huge turnover of tennants that they can keep raising rent on and never fixing issues.I have given them no problems, I work for an airline and am out 2-3 days a week, I see the signs all too well. Again they do not care about loyal tennants, they do not care about the property itself, they do not care about safety here,,again crime is back....we have a new manager'HMMMM..Sad but I have found a beautiful comminity in Addison, where the resnt is double but everyone their loves it. It's safe, management is amazing, and tennants have lived there for years with no HUGE complaints.

Word to the owner, you can ask for double the rent when you provide, safety, and geood economicol environments, ELECTRIC BILLS SHOULDN'T run what they are here.

So 8 years in 1805, and 2 years in 1809..forced move for flooding and safety. And after 10 years I say goodbye to what Ive known as home..becuase of poor management. I was born and raised in this area but it is not worth this. DON't LEASE here.

Maintenance can only do what management allows, and with what little funds they have. SO can't blame the maintenance personnel, but you can management. THEY hold the purse. They do keep lawn manicured, but it's all an outward deal, sctatch beneath the surface and you see the real problems.
