I lived at Fielder's Glen for a year and a half in a one-bedroom at the south end facing the Super Target.
It was very quiet, parking was ample (covered too), and maintenance came pretty quickly after you made a request.
Fielder's Glen is a hop, skip, and a jump to get groceries, get a coffee at Starbucks, grab a meal-deal at a fast-food chain, and to shop at the mall. It is also very close to a major freeway -- I-20 -- all this, whithout compromising peace and quiet.
One of the most wonderful things about Fielder's Glen is that there is AMPLE closet space in the one bedroom. I had four closets in which I was able to hide all my crap. :)
Fielder's Glen gets quite cramped if you're living either on the north end, or in the center. But if you can get an apartment in building 100, or anywhere on the very south end, you should be A-okay. It is fairly inexpensive and they offer a student discount.
The complex was recently bought out, and a new management staff has replaced the others. They seem very cordial and nice, but still have some bugs to work out with the transition.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this apartment to any person or couple considering a one bedroom, but just make sure it's on the south end.
