I have been a resident here for close to a year & a half. Overall, my experience has not been just down right horrible, but i am ready to move out. I think the only reason i have stayed this long is becuase I am very lucky to have good neighbors.
First off, the complex is old, so there are alot of things that are "out dated". And the people that they have come in to "make ready" the aparment are bad at what they do. Hello, you do not patch over a nail,,you must remove the nail first & then patch it & maybe try some paint that actually matches. Or here's one could you acutally clean the place & not just run a rag over it - yuck. The blinds are brittle due to their age, celing fans are from the 70's & are not secured properly. Sure, they recently brought in "new" stuff however that was only for the vacant aparments or if the out dated stuff finally took it last breathe for an current resident, then maybe they would replace with the new stuff. This is the thing that gets me though - when I asked if my aparment could be "upgraded" I was told that I would have to pay an additional $600.00 to receive all the upgrades. Wait a minute, when I move out are you not going to do it anyways,, so why should i have to pay for it & why the heck can't i enjoy the upgrades now, i've lived here long enough....oh, i know, becuase you are more concerned with trying to get new residents in instead of taking care of the ones you already have.
I would have to say that the manager here is not a very pleasant person, although she sounds that way on the phone. She is one of those people who think they are better than everyone else & talk down her nose to you. Don't tell this lady that she's wrong, you may see a demon come out of her. And she's the one who has the final word on everything that goes on in the complex. The rest of the office staff is pretty helpful, outside of one other lady in there that is the mangers little suck up.
Anthony & Lisa are very great agents though & always seem ready to help you when you need it. But I don't think that everyone in the office is on the same page,,,I'll have one agent tell me one thing & then another will say something totally different - jeez. When I moved in they had a whole different office crew, I wish the old crew would come back.
The maintence crew is very nice & are pretty good with having any problems fixed within 48 hours. The bad thing is, once again the manager has the finally say & even though sometimes the guys would like to say replace your kitchen faucet with a new one(due to it being broken) i am not a "new" tenant so the old one gets put back on, even though it really needs to go into the trash. My maintence problems probably average once a month & are not usually anything big. And the ANTS, no matter how clean you think your place is, they still come in and invade. Other than the ants though I haven't had any problems with bugs.
Noise around here is terrible. There is always some car thumping, engine roaring, people screaming, etc.. at all hours of the night. This is definatly night a good place for kids. Outside of the noise the kids have no where to play because the grassy areas are covered in doggie doo - nasty!! And there is just way to much traffic in & out of this place - so if they can't play in the grass & they can't play in the roads then where can they play' In the breezeways thats where & kids are not very quite when the play....hence the noise once again.
There have been a handful of brake in since I've been here - 5-10 aparments have been broken into & about the same number of cars. However crime is everywhere & they have brought in a security patrol to walk(or drive a golf cart) around the complex at night.
A year and a half is about all that I can handle here, no actually I was ready to move out about 6 months ago, but that lease is keeping here just a bit longer - but as soon as it's up I'm outta here!!

The cleanness must not have been too bad, you didn't mention any clean problems. Mine was clean.
