I agree totally with this review. Right now it is 91F inside my apartment at 6:30pm I have a 9 month old baby and it is dangerous for him to be home in our apartment during the day. We have been complaining about the AC for two years now and have been consistantly leaving messages with the office staff (who are never in the office) since my son was born in October. We have gotten the responses that since we live in a second floor apartment and have vualted ceilings we can not expect our temperature to go any lower. We have electric bills that get over $400 for a two bedroom apartment because the AC runs all day and never gets under 80F. We have also been told that we can not expect AC to make the temperature more than ten degrees cooler than it is outside. Everytime we complain they send the maintenence guy over to check it and they have cleaned the coils and replaced the filter and installed a new thermostat so that we can "see what temperature it really is." They have had to replace the motor on the AC unit three times since October and when we asked if maybe the unit needed to be replaced they said that they couldn't do that. We have also asked for a window unit but were told that would be unsightly. The management has not returned any of our calls and when we do manage to get ahold of a manager it makes no difference because they only stay for a few weeks and then suddenly there is a new manager and we have to start all over. We asked why the apartment office is always closed during office hours for hours at a time and were told that they must have been out showing an apartment. Living here and dealing with the office staff is not worth the lower rent price. They also raise the rent every month and we are currently paying $100 more than my sister who lives in the same model apartment. We asked why that was and the boy in the office said that it was because they wanted to get new residents in but once they were here they really didn't care about trying to keep us because they assume we won't go to the trouble of moving. The ammount of money we spent on electricity also more than makes up for the "savings" of living here. Do not move here under any cost!!!!!!

Well I agree with you and do not doubt your story. I lived there in fact this year back in May 2007 I moved in to Heather Ridge Apartments and was there for two days. I had black mold in my apartment and it flooded out two weeks before I moved in I only know that because the other tenants told me. The management at that time there was HORRIBLE. They told me to get out ASAP and they did not care whether I had a place to go or not. It was a horrible experience and I would not recommend anyone living at Heather Ridge Apartments. They are the worst apartments and office staff I have ever dealt with, very rude, not professional at all.
