Overpriced Units of Poor Quality

Maintenance is a joke. It took them five attempts to fix BOTH the air conditioning and the busted water pipes beneath my kitchen sink. I eventually had to ask my fiancee to take a day from work to watch them and make sure they completed their jobs correctly.
The entry doors are hollow-core, which means they were intended to be used inside a building. If someone wanted to kick through the door, it wouldn't take much effort. They claim to replace the carpet between tenants, but it's cheap commercial-grade carpet. Repairs to the drywall are obvious, as evident by the amature-rank tape and bedding job with some paint slapped over it.
The pool was closed during the hottest part of the summer, but when it is open, there's a layer of film on the water. Every month (at least once) the water is shut off for a day due to a leaky boiler.
On the plus side, if you're fortunate enough to have a unit facing Washington Drive, you don't have to worry as much about crime. Just the traffic. I do have to say my neighbors are very nice and courteous.
I recommend to keep looking. These apartment units aren't worth what they're charging. If you can fix the maintenance problem yourself, do it! Chances are it'll be done faster AND better.
