NOT getting what you pay for

The fact that no one ever seemed to renew their lease should have been our first warning... and to even see a couple of neighbors break their lease definitely sent up a red flag. Perhaps the new management will run things better, but its been a few months and early indications point to "no." The office will not receive packages for residents, and was not willing to life a finger to help solve the riddle of who keeps stealing my newspapers. The worst part has been the occassions in which we would have to go days without any hot water, and some days without any water at all. Of course, only once did we get any notice that water would be unavailable. The only relief the management offered was to allow all affected residents to share the shower in the model apartment. Beware of putting your trash up 5 minutes late - even if it hasnt been picked up yet, theyll find a way to fine you. I think that considering this complex charges rates comparable to Jefferson and AMLI, that you are NOT getting what you pay for. One more thing, if you get a water leak and damage is caused in the apartment, they are more than likely holding the tenant responsible for damages. Water bill is ridiculously high, higher that my brother who owns a 4-3 on 5 acres.
