Greetings!
I didnt want to be one of the bitter prudes to write a review about this apartment, but enough is enough. I have lived at the Laurels for over a year (because of lease only) and I must say, things are certainly changed. When I first moved in, I noticed that 3 apartment complexes near the dead end road seemed very nice and safe and the Laurels was one of the 3. Once you drive away from the dead end and near the front of Treepoint Rd. The other apartments are seriously dangerous. One apartment in particular (Treepoint) has become a parking space for the cops. And guess what else is happening! WALMART right behind one of the worst complexes in the area. Who do you think will frequent this store right off or HWY 287' Of course the neighborhoods off of HWY 820, and honestly, we all know the type of neighborhoods in that area.
Back to the apartment complex...Yes I would have to agree w/ the last review on 10/07, the new management has made these apartments tunnel. I didnt have much of a problem with previous management (before October). New management is rude, rarely in office and lies about the reports being made. They have also welcomed new tenants who , I personally believe--think they live on a farm. I literally call the police on the NOISE ALONE atleast twice in 1 weekend. The noise is impeccable!! Just expect loud music and adult males yelling things out that your children dont need to hear ever...that even I dont need to hear. Their rampage includes recorded fighting and walking around late and sometimes early mornings in nothing but underpants. I have made several complaints to the front office and NOTHING! I knew I had to move out of here fast when I went in to make a complaint (thinking it was only my area of the apartment complex, and another tenant was making a similar complaint about her side of the complex.
I dont remember the last time my apartment was sprayed for termites and ants-AND I HAVE THEM BOTH NOW. I remember the sewage problem. There were feces all over the ground and grass for over a week. It was the worst smell and things to see in life!! The only remodeling is cracks that are on my walls from the foundation shifting.
Oh and dont we all love the children' Until they start throwing rocks at your cars and refusing to move out of the middle of the street when you are driving. No parental supervision at all. I was proud of my expanded apartment and private area when I first moved here. But I can tell you, the front office looks nice! Seems they are doing some minor changes and if you ever walked in, you would think, "wow this place may actually have it together". BUT DONT LET THE LOOK FOOL YOU!!!! I wouldnt recommend this apartment to anyone who appreciates privacy when they are away from their apartment (yes random searches by the front office), or if you work mornings (the loud noise will keep you awake).
Good Luck on your search!

Randon searches by the front office? I still live here. I better not find out they are in my apartment without my permission. My lease says they are supposed to leave a note in a conspicuous spot letting you know they were in your apt while you're not home. It better be a good reason.

This is true and no note was left...They took posters and decorations off my walls and moved things around in my cabinets, saying it was unsafe. their privacy standards are nice enough to let you be who you are and decorate the way you choose. if i wanted to be told how my appt should look, i'd live with my parents.
