If you are looking for a fun place to live the Laurels of Sendera is definitely NOT the place to go. The power mad manager ------ has outlawed any fun at the Laurels. No more music, no more alcoholic beverages and probably soon no swimming. The Laurels built their resident base from having water volleyball every weekend during the summer.
The residents use to bbq on the weekends and the place was alive with people and fun. But since the banning of fun at the pool the number of people coming to the pool has dropped faster than the stock market.

At the beginning of summer the management couldn t even keep the pool open 2 weeks in a row. They resurfaced the pool one week before Memorial Day and barely had it open in time for the holiday weekend and only because they skipped getting the pool inspected. Then the first week of summer they closed the pool for 2 weeks to have the deck redone. Not too bright, why didn t they do it during the spring not in the middle of summer.

And don t bother asking her assistant manager, ---- or the rental agent -------, because either they don t know what s going on in the apartments or they just outright lied about the pool being open in time.

------ has gone eviction crazy, threatening anyone who disagrees or has any fun with evictions or legal action. If you break the pool rules they threaten you with eviction. She has alienated all of the residents. She is driving out tenants that have lived their for 5, 10, 15 years. More people are not renewing their leases because of her tyrannical rule. She is the Queen B.. and don t do anything wrong or she will evict your behind.

The maintenance people work very hard and are the one bright spot at the complex. Of course the office staff never gives them your work orders if you call or go into the office. The office staff never checks their voice mail so any work orders you leave on the phone never get done until you put your request in writing.

So if you are looking for a place where the landlord makes rules for everything you do, a place where the pool life is dying a sure death, where they treat you like children, where they threaten you with eviction for not raising you hands to talk then the Laurels are the place for you. Otherwise don t even bother stopping at the Laurels at least not during the tyrannical rule of Queen ------.

Then you must be the drunk at the pool every weekend. I have been treated with such respect every time I go into the office and I have lived here 2 years. I am so glad she is trying to stop the drinking at the pool it is suppose to be a family enviroment not a drunk fest!! Do you not see all the apartments around us, I have caught others pulling into the property and dumping there trash, I got their plates and she called it in. She responds to all my calls and finally something is getting done around here. Its cleaner and quiter, no crime has happened in a long time, pull it up on the internet idiot!! This staff has lasted longer than any other ones, so why dont you move on.......Im am ready for all you drunks to move out and let us who can follow all the rules enjoy the pool peacefully!!

This review is right on the mark! I live at the Laurels now and this reviewer is absolutely correct. However, there are many other things wrong with this place not listed here. Things like regularly overflowing trash cans, questionable people moving in, the recent increase in crime, the overall general disinterested attitude the office staff has towards the residents, and the list goes on! I'm sure there will be many more reviews coming in the near future about this Westdale property and it's management. Update: Judging from the response that called this reviewer a drunk, it looks like the losers in office are posting fake reviews and responses again. I'm sure anyone reading these reviews can see thru their dishonest attempt to hide the truth. Read all the other reviews and judge for yourself.

No Crime, go to the City of Arlington's website and see the crime that went on in the complex. No crime, what about the notice about the guy knocking on peoples doors in the middle of the night to break in. My neighbors car window was broken out. No crime, how about the courtesy officer that everyone says never shows up when called. No crime, you just mentioned the illegal dumping that you report that's a crime. I don't think you have a clue what is really happening at thies place. Additions in response to the comment about addults taking over the pool on the weekend:The Laurels has 3 pools (when they are open)surley the kids can move to one of the other pools while the adults play a couple of games of volleyball. The kids have all week to play undisturbed by any adults during the summer. Adults need some time to unwind after a hard week at work and most only have the option of coming to the pool on the weekend. Speaking of out of control and loud, did you see the birthday party last Friday for one of the children that had 20-30 kids at the pool supervised by 3 adults sometimes less until the kids started getting hurt and out of control and then more parents came out to help. Which just made the party bigger and more out of control. Those kids were louder than anything the adults do out there.

All you weekend drunks who take over the pool should be ashamed of yourselves. ------ and Co.are doing a great job..She is a great Manger Cleaning up this place.This is a complex with families who should feal safe seven days a week not five..I've seen all you drunks at the pool...Real parents get their children out of the pool and go home,because you are all using profanity launge because you have to drink out of plastic cups.I am a one year resident, ------ has done to proper thing by geting ride of parents who doest not care about there own children who was causing all the trouble. I feel very safe.. All you drunks are the only ones complaining..------- you have three children..It seem everytime you are out there getting drunk the cops come. Any the lady with the big grey dog you should walk around picking up his waste.Lifegurd Jack!!!!If we could just get rid of you all!!!!Laurels of Sendera would be a greater place to live...------,----,and --------...GREAT JOB!!!!! I was reading the last response and almost laughed myself out of my chair. It looks like the manager and her whole family (that now live in the apartments) are writting fake reviews. Readers, please don't be fooled. Read the other reviews and take a drive into the complex and see for yourself. I think I'm going to write a review and post on it the rediculous letter she sent out to the residents recently. If you'll take the time to read it, I think the quality of here character will be very clear. How does the above responder answer all the other complaints about this management? The list it long and getting longer. The above responder needs to ask herself why this complex has the absolute worst rating on the street. There is a reason and I assure you, it's not the residents.

the "laddy with the big gray dog" go's out by the woods...and if your going to pen point her what about every one with there littel ------- dogs that go every were like by our front door...she is more responsabal about where her dog go's than any one i have seen with there dog.....and i like jack too get to know him and you will change your mind.... i do hang out with all the "drunks" but i dont drink, they are not out of control... the once yall are calling the drunks are the ones that would do any thing to help you!!! so befor you talk ---- about people give them half a chance and the management is horabal when people have been her over 5 years like me and cant wait to git the ---- out cuz of management theres somthing wrong
