For as nice as a complex that this place is, I have tried really hard not to get annoyed with this place. It's a beautiful community, my husband and I really like it, BUT... Since we first signed our lease last year, management dragged their feet getting the key to us, and took all month to finalize the lease (to this day we realized that it is very difficult to get a hold of someone when you call- just our experience). Not to mention the time they 1st invited us on a Sunday afternoon to look at a model w/ them, and no staff was in the office for over 2 hours. And I felt bad for the family who had actually booked an appointment to view a large unit they had already placed a deposit on, and not one employee was there for assistance! And that family waited a good 2 hours for someone (during stated business hours) to finally show up. Finally, that staff member strolled in saying she was busy with one of the units (though a little check-in on the office or note for arriving guests wouldn't have killed her). Then, when we needed a repair, the apartment's management company is so corporate, that you end up calling an operator in Anytown, USA to explain your problem, and then they dispatch to management- you never get to contact them directly, and their is seemingly no "emergency" or late night service, though they are right around the corner (I suppose I was naive for thinking apartments may offer this amenity- this is our 1st apt.). My latest example: I called twice to get a repair on my flooding, stopped up sink as I was in the middle of cooking (and suddenly unable to use the sink), and the totally impersonal (but friendly) repair service gives me no clue as to when I will be helped. I call again an hour later as an emergency. No show. I get home from work that night only to read a note on my door that, "sorry- couldn't get in to help- our key to your door broke. But come in tomorrow morning so we can make a copy of your key" Of course, this was extremely inconvenient, but I broke my neck that next day so they could do it and get our sink fixed ASAP. So I get home that evening to find NO repair order form on my door, or anywhere (as they usually do) but rather, my beloved decorative cast iron doormat stolen. A bit bizarre, and silly, but I am livid. This is all before we were planning to renew our lease. Now granted, this is just a bad sequence of events happening right now, as most of our stay here has been very pleasant. However lately it has been louder than usual and dirty, since we have picked up some neighbors that smoke and leave their butts all over the place and have questionable jobs (I am really not trying to be speculative, but my mat has just been stolen) and people linger around, smoking and staring as I ascend the stairs, and new or "mystery" neighbors almost every month. Now I am not calling for resident profiling by any means, my neighbors lifestyles are none of my business, but to have a little more integrity around our unit would be nice- there is a stench of foul smoke and litter around, and my attempt to dress up our front door for the holidays has been ruined (it may seem trivial, but that mat was far from cheap!). I'm almost writing this review out of pure anger, but I am so frustrated. It's hard to feel like a valued, paying resident when I call the office, and leave a message regarding something as important as our lease, and get no call back. After my mat being stolen, I feel a bit violated, because my husband and I are young, married students making an honest living w/out a lot of possessions, and we have to go through all of this hassle. We really want to like this place, but it's becoming difficult.

If you decide not to renew your lease - take dated photos of the unit, and have a walk through with the staff prior to vacating. Get them to sign something verifying the condition of the unit, otherwise you can kiss your deposit good-bye. You think management is hard to talk to now...

We made an appointment to see one of the apartments and they told us to go on Sunday at 1pm. We were trsaveling the other day in the morning. The appointment was done on Thursday. The same thing happened no one showed up... Management decided that no showing was to be done that day. They didnt care we were traveling the other day and we could not come back until the summer. I decided I was not going to consider that place.....

yes management is very difficult to deal with krista was always rude she has gotten better, but i spoke with toni in some past weeks for the first time was not impressed. my neighbors told me she was rude, and snooty.i experienced the same attitude from her.she certainty does not like to be bothered with your problems.i have been here for 4 years and seen management come and go and she needs to go.I am an educated individual and for someone to talk to me like they are better than i than i would say to that person she needs to find a different line of work.we also used to have a sense of security here i certainly do not feel that way any longer.when i first moved in here there was excellent staff and security, this has gone down hill.
