Getting more ghetto by the minute

I've now lived here for about a year and half and my views have changed, for the worse.

At first, the staff was excellent. But then they changed all the people up front, the service has been much slower and people are not as friendly (either not picking up the phone or just directly transfer you to corporate office).

Maintenance was top notch before, but now we have problems with them coming at all. Our air conditioner was down for 3 days in the middle of June, in Texas!! The people at corporate office don't care at all, and people in the front office cares even less.

The apartment wasn't as big as we had expected, but it is in good condition. Couple of things needed to be fixed in the beginning.

Parking is decent, there's always empty visitor spots but some require a little bit more walking.

The roads are very curvy, so it's difficult for big moving trucks to maneuver.

We have a two bedroom townhouse with a single garage. The garage is just a bit bigger than a car, so you can store somethings there but not too much. The bedrooms are big and comfortable, but the heating works better upstairs than downstairs so it's always warmer upstairs. And since everything is electric, the electricity bill is -very- high (>$200/month)

The carpet was brand new but it's not the most comfortable. It's just a typical apartment carpet, I guess. There's a restroom downstairs, that was a big bonus for us so visitors don't have to go upstairs.

I have noticed some bugs here and there.
The swimming pool is very nice, with waterfall and wooden deck with trees, when it's working. Otherwise it's just a pool of green water (like recently).

The apartment complex is pretty safe. At times we forget to lock the doors even. But recently the apartment gate has been open at all times. Don't know if it's broken or they just leave it open.

I would not recommend this apartment to people at the price we're paying ($1100/month for 2 bedrooms).
