My new husband and I have lived in these apartments for the past year. We both go to UTA and it is in closer walking distance than most UTA-owned apartments. We love it here!
These apartments are very safe. People sometimes leave their doors open here and even leave their stuff outside. I have never felt afraid no matter how late I got home. I have never heard of any crimes happening here.
There is plenty of open parking because the community is very small.
Our air conditioning broke yesterday night and they had it fixed within the hour our request went in on a Saturday. The office staff is very friendly and helpful.
Our apartment is small, and that is why we are moving, but the price is great - especially compared to on-campus living. There are 2 large closets in out bedroom - an awesome plus - and the bedroom is very spacious compared to other floorplans we have been looking at. There is free wireless internet. You only have to pay electric (no water bill!).
My only complaints are:
*no pets allowed
*our apartment faced cooper street, which could be very noisy at night - but I got used to the ambulances and dumbasses that played their music loud enough for those in dallas to hear
*our downstairs neighbors kept calling and complaining about our "walking around too much." Not parties, not music, not having too many people in the apartment - just WALKING. This really annoyed me and the owner seems relieved we are moving out, and the only reason I could imagine why is that - because it's the only complaint we've ever heard. The family living below is an asian family with a kid, and the office staff is all asian, so I think that's why. But come on, you can't live in an apartment and expect absolute SILENCE all the time!! The apts are older, maybe the ceiling is creaky down there, so I might recommend an upstairs one.
*floorplan is weirdly layed out, but it does work.
*no washer dryer connections
