This apartment complex appears, on the outside, to be a great place to live. However once your here a while it changes. The gym room is missing half of the free weights are missing, the machine that weights are attached to have pins that do not belong to the equipment rigging them because they are broken, and have been that way for as long as I lived here. There is an apartment at the front of the complex that looks like it has caught fire and has been boarded up for way to long. Myself and several neighbors have continuing problems with ants and when pest control comes once a year it seems like, it makes it worse. The walls are thin and you can hear every move your neighbor makes. The pool is always closed for cleaning, yet it is always brown and dingy looking. There are constantly unsupervised kids running around the pool as well, and after notices continually go out the problems continue. Parking is continually a problem, either you can't find a spot, or there are cars with green notices for months that the office never moves. You are forced to chose Time Warner because they have worked a deal with them, so check into the BEFORE you sign your lease. You also HAVE to have renters insurance as a condition of your lease. Just an FYI. A brief comment on the management and maintenance, they take their sweet time to fix issues, and sometimes they still remained unfixed. You have to remind them that they haven't fixed things otherwise they will never come back. They will post notices at the mail box and say they are coming around with filters for your A\C, but yet they never show up. Just all around they seem to not have their stuff together down at the office, very unorganized or something, I guess that is the issue. The fact that it is cheap here is about the only advantage.

I guess the manager in her responce said it all, I just wanted to add to it, as a resident, that most of things mentioned are not true.
parking lot is big and we never have problem with it
pool was open practically all summer
fixing guys come in a day or two, and fix the stuff. Of course the things are old and replacing some of them takes time.
thin walls, cable, renters insurance, ants, children - duhh? where you think you were settling? Retirement house for millionaires?
And management is nice, and they take pride in their work and in their company, so they respond to these ads right away.

While some of the issues described in the original post seem a little exaggerated, I agree with some management issues and children issues. I realize I live in a famliy community, but that does not give kida the right to run around the driving areas like there are no cars and never check before crossing. Management is prompt, but rude. They were very misleading when I first moved here. I like the community, but I pray that the next tenant will have no issues with this place because they will lie to cover themselves when something arises.
