I've been here since April... I was assured that the community was safe (they have gated access!!! except the gates NEVER close, and no one monitors who comes and goes...), that there was a low crime rate (of course, most of the community is probably illegal and would be deported if they called the cops...), and that I'd have no problems with my neighbors, because it was generally older people and families with small childrens.
When I moved in, none of the problems I noted on my move-in list got fixed. I had to badger them repeatedly to get anything done. My downstairs air conditioner flooded my apartment 3 times before they did anything to fix it.
The absolute worst part... I'm paying for an entire block of apartments to have internet, cable and electricity. Every time I have a technician out to fix the problem, the other tennants break back in and hook themselves back up. I've walked the management team over to show them who is doing it, and their response is that it's not their problem. They can't control what their tennants are doing.
Since I've lived here, I've been broken into by a drunk mexican at 3am, had my door kicked open by someone who was at the wrong apartment (and they were drunk as well), I've had a knife held to my throat by my neighbors, I've had my neighbors throw trash and beer bottles at me... and management does nothing. My front door is dented all over from the neighbor kids throwing a baseball at it constantly, even when I'm sick... and if I say anything to them, I get a lease violation for trying to start trouble.
I bought a dog for protection, paid their deposit... and they give me a lease violation for having the dog.
Management is completely racist... I'm not brown enough to deal with them effectively. I'm half hispanic, and I've heard 2 of the office girls make deragatory comments about my race.

if you still live there, email the property management company and they should let you break your lease without going through the on site management. we did exactly that and got out this past july eventhough we wernt supposed to be out until november!

Just FYI.. this apartment complex is known as Regal Commons now... although, I have yet to see anything "Regal" about this place.
They completely redid the pool area... and never opened it to the residents over the summer... That didn't stop their friends from using it though.
I just forced them to transfer me to a new apartment within the community by complaining to their home office. Leti, the office manager, is the worst when it comes to dealing with problems... it's always all about how nothing is her fault, and her hands are tied... they wouldn't be if she'd actually DO something.
They gave me tons of crap when I moved in because I'm young and have no credit... but then they turn around and let a convicted sex offender move into the apartment complex! apparently having no credit is more dangerous than someone who molests 12 year old little girls...
