I was also hit for about $1100.00, when I moved out. I cleaned for a week, the carpet was in great shape and they charged me for a full replacement. I've never felt so used by a place I've rented from. Lost my deposit and charged 1100.00. That was not a hit I ever expected. Later I talked to a friend and it seems to be this apartment groups standard practice.
