Okay overall, but can do better

I lived in the Pavilion for a little over 2.5 years. I got in on a very good special.
You have your own assigned, covered parking space, no extra charge, but sometimes people park in it anyways. Parking is bad, at least in my area.
I would say about half the office people are nice, Vasean and the Puerto Rican lady, but there is a fat, blond woman that is pretty nasty all the time. The office has received packages for me and not let me know, including an offer letter to start a new job. I even called the office a few times asking about the letter, but they said they didn't have it. It wasn't until I went there in person was I able to get someone to physically check and see if it was there, and it was there including 2 other letters that my job had sent since I told them I hadn't had received the letter. Some mail carriers do not leave a note at your door assuming if someone in the office signs for the package, then it the office's responsibility now to get it to you.
The fitness center is nice, but broken machines or machines missing pedals will stay that way for a long time.
Maintenance is good, within 24 hour service. Sometimes you call the office and depending on who you get, they say you have to put the maintenance request in writing, but other times I have called and someone will come out.
Not much done for landscaping besides outside the apartments, which is what people see first. Ever since I lived there, there has been dirt, no grass around my apartments. They do a good job of picking up trash and wait to do loud, maintenace work when most people are at work. There are some ghetto people playing loud music on their car stereos and there are college students drinking and making noise late at night. I lived on the second floor and rarely heard people through the walls or the floor, only in the bathroom.
One time somebody that lived in the apartments tried to get in my apartment, but I scared him off. I never had anything done to my car during my stay.
They haven't raised my rent too much, only $70 bucks, $50 the first time I renewed, and $20 the second time I renewed. I did refer a friend and got $500 very promptly after he stayed there a month.
There are a lot of speed bumps to prevent people from driving around the parking lot too fast. Water bill (including tri-weekly trash pickup) is very cheap. Electricity bill was cheap, too.
One Sunday my ac went out when it was over 100 degrees. I didn't discover this until I got to my apartment until after 5PM, which is when the office closes. So I called the office because the message should take me to maintenance, but the phone just kept on ringing and ringing not going to the message. It was so unbearable I had to go to a hotel for the night. When I talked to the office about trying to get reimbursed for the hotel, they said they wouldn't because I could have called them, but I couldn't because I didn't discover my AC was out until after the office closed. Then they said they were sorry but unaware that their was a problem with their phone going to the automated message. They were not very apologetic about my situation or how it was their fault, regardless if they were ignorant of the problem with the phones. I guess I could have raised more of a stink about it, but I think any reasonable person would have seen how I was inconvienced and paid for the hotel night which was only $50 (Days Inn).
All in all, it is a pretty good complex, but I think it could be better. I haven't moved out yet, but I'll try to post again to let everyone know how that went.
