First off I pay my rent, water, trash etc at least two weeks early. Do NOT throw loud parties, I did throw one party before my son left for Boot Camp and it was very low key. I and my apartment are clean. So for those of you who assume that the people with the problems are causing them...WRONG...well you might be right. We are making these women actually work.
Here are examples of the problems I have faced.
1. I had mice (yes, more than one and they were pretty big) Called the office to let them know. R (omg the worst) told me I had to deal with it because maintance did not work on Sat. (have seen them working on many times) I had to waite three weeks and several phone calls to get any traps...my son had to come over during office hrs to get them. We caulght three one was HUGE. Called the office to remove it...well again my son had to do it because they didn't.
2. My purse had been stolen, not here. I sent three emails requisting locks be changed even stated I would pay. I have NEVER received a call back, email and the lock was never change.
3. Before I went on vacation I called in a work order for the a/c, what a shock to get a call back the next day. I told the lady (office staff changes a lot)that I was out of town and there was no rush. It was wonderful to get home and the a/c working. It was working so well that it was left at 70 deg. and maintance had opened the patio door and kept it open for 5 days. Called office nothing not a response at all. Then a few days later I noticed my movies were gone. I again called office left another voice message. Waited a few days and called corp. I was told that the complex can not be held liable for thefts by maintance. Nor are they liable for the electric.
4. I got a dog on a Sat. evening left them a voice message reguarding the pet deposit. The did not call me but put a notice on my door letting me know I had a pet and I had the pet (duh) and not only did I need to give them a $300 deposit but $150 fine. Tried to dispute the fine but it was usless. I paid $450 for a dog that I had resuced off the street and was looking for a forever home for. Had the dog for two weeks...the people below me dog sat in there appt for 6 months and never paid anything.
5. Water bill comes in mail about a week or two after rent is due so i guess at what it will be and pay a little extra. Every month I would pay everything on line and ask to be notified it anything else was due. No response, ever. After about 6 months I called and was told I had a HUGE credit...great, wonderful. I took the credit on the next months rent. A few months ago I got a puppy let the complex know and again another note on my door telling me that i have an illeagle pet. I call the next day to tell them I have a pet deposit. Come to find out the first deposit was NEVER put in as a pet deposit so that was part of my credit. So I had to put in another deposit and I asked several times for the pet agreement to be put on the door still waiting for that.
Once there was a man sleeping in the fitness center. The convinace store across the street has been robed so many times that several employees have guns on them. I came home one night very late and someone had been shot. Have seen several people just hanging out in the parking area in frount of the office late at night.
They paint the tubs and sinks and do a bad job. The paint on the walls is NOT washable. In the extra bedroom and hall the paint job is BAD. I turned this in and was told to bring a container in and they would give me paint...omg really it is my job to paint and pay rent! Aren't the repairs I have done myself enough. Depending on whatever it depends on repairs have been within 24 hrs or I give up and do it myself.
I gave my notice to move, and the ONLY reason I have stayed this long is because the company I work for had no clue where it was moving the offic AND I work 70 hrs a week.
Oh which brings me to another point the over price trash can...valet trash service sounds great but if you lose the provided trash can or it gets stolen you get to pay $50.00...people it is a simple black 13 gal. trash can what did it cost $20 if that. Oh and if you work late like I do then you can't use this service because you can only have it out starting at 6pm. I work in Dallas til 6pm or later. But depending on if the office people like you or not will depend on if you get a notice or not. I had a friday off and had some errands to run I sat my trash out at 5:30 and my neighbor had hers out, I got home at 6:15 I had a notice she didn't and she wasn't home. So when I have trash that needs to go out I drive it to the dumpster and pay the complex $15. for a service I preform. Much like I do repairs.
With my rent I advised that I would no longer be needing to rent the washer and dryer. (reminder I pay two weeks before the 1st) called several more times to remind them to come get them. The next month I sill had the washer and dryer finally someone answered the phone and I asked them when the would remove them because I was NOT paying when I was waiting on them to be removed to have mine delivered. A month later they added the w/d rental to my rent bill. I advised them again with my rent payment to come get the w/d. The very next day there was a notice on my door that I owed $40.00 for rental of the w/d and a $100.00 late fee was being attached and if I didn't pay within 24 hrs I would be locked out of my apt. I called a left a message letting them know what was going on and if I was locked out I would sue. Told them to call me to make sure this was taken care of, I called them at 3:30 pm the next day because they NEVER called me. The situation was taken care of but omg.
The only good things about MY apt. is NO roaches and I don't have the party problems but I see how some can after all UTA is just a few miles away. Knock on wood my car and apt have never been broken into...just office crap and there has been no way to avoid it...phone calls, emails, messages nothing has prevented the problems and I just don't have time to baby sit grown @ss women and sit beside them to make sure they do the job they are paid for.
All the negative reviews are correct, the positives I wonder if it isn't office staff or people that just haven't lived here very long or if they are just VERY lucky. If it is just luck they should play the lotto.
If anyone that reads these reviews still leases here two things good luck hope it works for you and keep everything in writting, if you can get a response.

I agree with EVERYTHING this person states...except for the rat problem,I have been lucky enough to not have that problem. But the office staff is both unprofessional and rude and ignorant. NOTHING gets done, probably because the maintence men are too busy stealing from tenants and hooking up/having sex DURING WORK HOURS with the feamle tennants. This is a widely known problem but of course the management does nothing about it. So if you are desperate enough to move here DO NOT put in a work order unless you will be at home or your belongings will most likely be stolen and like the previous person stated, management will tell you there is nothing they can OR WILL do about theft by their staff.
Good luck to anyone who is dumb enough to move here after all the testemonies from people who have expierence the misfortunate of living here!
