Pretty good place to live

Years at this apartment: 2004 - 2005
My wife and I have been living here for a year now. We moved here from the northeast to attend UTA, and overall this place has been pretty nice. It's small and cozy, and has the loft setup we were looking for. Don't let the size fool you - if you're creative, you can fit seven or eight people in here. Uncreatively, there's room for about four downstairs.
Within one day of moving in, we knew at least 6 other residents. One year later, we're all still here.
Parking has never been a problem for us, though we only have one car. From what I can tell looking out the front window, there are
two parking spots for each apartment. When friends come over, there is always a parking spot free and close to our apartment. Every now and again there will be children playing in the parking lot, but that's only once every few months.
I can almost never hear my neighbor's music, and they've never told me to turn down mine. The only time I've actually heard music through the walls was during final exam season, and then for only a few hours on a few nights. It's overall a pretty quiet place.
The grounds are safe and well-lit. I have no issues walking trash to the dump at night or checking my mail in the wee hours of the morning. The only safety concern I have is police response time: when my wife was in an auto accident here a few months ago, it took the Arlington police more than four hours to respond. To their credit, though, it was pretty rainy out, and lots of cars were probably swerving into each other.
The apartment, physically, is just fine. When the air conditioner broke, they replaced it within hours of our reporting it. When the freezer stopped freezing, they fixed it in less than 15 minutes. We've never needed to turn on the heater. It's always a little warmer upstairs than it is downstairs, but never to any extremes.
There's not so much "staff" here as there is "a receptionist and a maintenance man", but this place is pretty small - I can't imagine they'd need anyone else. The maintenance man is awesome - and his 24x7 pager number is on the office door, he's very personable, and he knows what he's doing. There have been multiple receptionists since we moved in - some have been awesome, some have been pretty standoffish. They tend to get the job done, though.
High-speed internet is most definitely available here.
Overall, the place is pretty good - leaps and bounds better than any of the other properties we looked at in the same price range.
