My story is VERY long but the main point is I lived at Pineridge for less than 3 weeks before I moved out due to cigarette smoke seeping through the floors, terrifying crime and a lack of maintenance and I paid them $1967.00 (plus the cost of moving twice). My son and I were sick from the toxic cigarette smoke seeping into our apartment and we were told they would look into it but there was nothing they could do. It took maintenance 5 days and a call to corporate before they came and fixed my heat/air unit and they never addressed the plumbing issues. In the 2 weeks I was there a car was broken into and my door was violently banged on at 11pm at night which I called the cops out to investigate. Within a week of my moving out someone tried to kick in the door and the property courtesy officer told me this kind of stuff happens all the time here and the property manager told me it looks like the damage was done from the inside . Please look up their crime statistics before signing a lease. I had to request that all relations with the property manager and the regional manager were put in writing due to their hostility and personal attacks upon me in which I was told I needed to take responsibility. May I ask; how could I have possibly taken more responsibility' When I realized that our safety was in danger I moved out immediately and paid the lease out. Corporate has been more civil to deal with, but according to everyone, their hands are tied , they will not budge and I signed a lease, which I paid out. I made suggestions of how to improve the property and address the issues but was told this is an isolated situation and I have no evidence the Pineridge is unsafe or unhealthy. The reviews I read, crime stats and my own personal experience say otherwise. When did the housing industry loose its heart'
