I do enjoy living in Polo Run. I lived here before when I was in school and now that I am back, I decided to move here again. They have one and two bedrooms. I really like the layout of the two bedroom that I am living in. It has a ton of space.
Also, anything can look good in this apartment - a big plus for people who can't color coordinate.
The workmanship does leave a bit to be desired (AKA plumbing problems, things breaking, etc) but I find this pretty normal in cheaper, older apartments. The nice thing about Polo Run is that it doesn't look old because they do a good job at upkeep.
The office staff is wonderful. They try their best to keep their residents happy.
They have pest control come by once a month, therefore not much problem with insects.
The one thing I have to complain about is security. It's really up to the neighbors to watch the grounds and report to the police any suspcious behavior. My advice: do not own a nice car, or leave anything valuable inside! The easy access to 1-30 is inticing for theives.
Parking is first come first serve, but I usually find a spot fairly close.
Overall, I put Polo Run on the higher end of lower cost apartments.
PS. They have changed management and the water is billed seperately now, instead of a community bill. That is why I recommend them now. Two years ago, I wouldn't have.
