NEVER NEVER NEVER AGAIN!!

Okay, when I moved in to this place, I was promised a two-story, two-bedroom. The DAY BEFORE move-in, I call, just to verify the address for the electric company... and was informed that the apartment would not be available after all, but we were welcome to come look at others. Should have been a warning sign, but we pressed on.

SO, we get a different place, right over the pool, at the back of the complex, next to the housing area. Big rooms, huge closets. Okay, we can handle this. Needs a new set of blinds, a couple of small items... no biggie. We put it on the check in list, and set up our new home.

Okay, there were multiple changes in ownership, management, etc. and every time they got a maintenance man who was good, got things done, or was in ANY way helpful, he would get fired.

Once, we even had to threaten them with the health department to get someone to come look at the A/C because we were constantly without it, especially during those wonderful 105 degree days we had in the summer! They just didn't seem to care.

So, after the apartments down stairs from us flooded - and I mean FLOODED! - we were left as about the only people in the building (for almost two months, we WERE the only people in the building), and we began to beg for some work to get done. Like the blinds, the drip pans, etc. that were requested ON MOVE IN!! Mind you, by this time, I had been there nearly two years!

There was a leak in the bathroom, the floor was soaked clear down the hall, and we called maintenance. The only reason they responded was because I told them there was a leak near a light fixture. It still took them three months to get it semi-fixed. Most of that time, there were two gaping holes in my bathroom, I could not use the shower/tub at all, no fixtures were in place, and there was a HUGE mess, even after they finally put it all back together.

When so many people moved out of the building, I learned another thing that made me VERY upset. Enough so to report them to the city. The porch lights are the only thing that light the stair wells. When no one lives in the apartment at the top of the stairs, there is no electricity, and thus NO LIGHT! We lived upstairs, and had to walk down the steps in the dark frequently, despite complaints.

AND... the beautiful pool that our place overlooked was CLOSED almost the entire time I lived there. The city closed it a few times, and the complex closed it a few times "for maintenance" - with promises to reopen at summer with a big party for residents. Never happened. It was an eye-sore, and the landscaping there is what caused out building to flood.

Not to mention.... I moved out almost a year ago... and I STILL DO NOT HAVE MY DEPOSIT REFUND!!!!! Yes, I called a lawyer!
