I just moved into Providence. I am disappointed by the poor construction of the buildings. The inside of the apartments are what sold me, especially the raised ceilings. Now I find the raised ceilings my worst nightmare. The sound that comes down from footsteps, etc. from the apartment above me is so incredible that I have to take sleeping pills and earplugs to go to sleep. Also there are a lot of young college students living here who make a lot a noise. It would take an arm and a leg to file a big enough complaint to get a noisy neighbor to move out. Please do not move here if noise is a factor for your move. You can find a better place for your money in Arlington. I will be moving as soon as my lease is up.
