Great Place (Pros and Cons)

I just moved out of my apartment this weekend from Providence in the Park. I have to say it was a really nice place to live. I have read most of the reviews here, so I have decided to put together a pros/cons of living here.
Pros
1) Location - You are near almost everything in Arlington. Most weekends, I wouldn't even need to start my car because I could walk to (literally) everything I needed. Living across the street from the SuperTarget is one thing I will miss the most!
2) The Staff - There were maybe one or two times where the staff was slow to acknowledge me (as I was standing in the foyer). However there were a sea of people before me.
3) The apartment - For the location, you cannot beat the price (less than $1 per sq ft).
4) Neighbours - I actually knew my neighbours and did not have a problem with anyone in my unit.
5) Facilities - The fitness center was nice.
Neutral on these topics
1) The pool - I avoid the sun at all costs. I didn't get this English pasty white skin by staying in the sun after all.
2) Garbage collection - It was nice having collection on M,W and F. However if you missed the window for collection times, you had two choices. 1) Wait until the next collection or 2)Carry it to the nearest dumpster (which is at the other end of the complex. The only thing I didn't like about this was that if you have large items (boxes, etc) to throw away, you had to haul it yourself.
Cons:
1) The noise -- As with all apartment complexes, they always seem to have a flashing neon sign that reads "Loud skanks welcome". Plus, there's always that same group of people whose cars are in desperate need of a muffler. They rev the engine really loudly, as if anyone cares. It used to irritate me to no end. Stop overcompensating and get a real car, okay'
In addition, being in the location that it is, you're going hear the traffic from cooper street. Not as bad as new york style traffic noise, but not exactly a quiet area either.
2) The MALL - A blessing and curse all rolled into one. The same place that you can walk to from the apartment is the same cause of ALL OF THE TRAFFIC on the weekends from 10a - 8pm. If you do use your car on the weekends and want to hit the interstate, be prepared to wait around 15 min for a 2 mile drive. Same rules apply M - F during rush hour.
As with the mall, all of the other stores and shops will build stores around it, causing a "electric sun" effect at night. Even though the sun has set, the glow of the neon signs from the Mall, and every shopping centre around it will make you think it's only 3pm. A terrible effect if you're like me and need total darkness to fall asleep. I literally had to replace the blinds in my bedroom with some dark, heavy blinds (then put them back to the "standard" ones when I moved out). It was the only thing that blocked the "sun" at night.
3) Security gates - I didn't have guests over too often so I wasn't concerned with people waiting at the gate. Occassionally, the gates were broken, which left them wide open for the poor people to come in and start soliciting things.
Long story short:
This was a nice place to live. However, if you are going to sign a lease, ensure that your apartment faces *away* from any parking lots, or the mall, and you should be OK.
