The Good and the Bad From: holodoc Date posted: 6/2/2007 Years at this apartment: 2000 - 2006   Good Location - Close to Parks Mall. Right across the street from a Super Target!! Property - I believe this complex was built in 1997 under Jefferson properties. It was taken over by Archon who kept the property up. They came under a third owner when I left. The property still looked ok... Rent Prices - Seemed to be fair. Over the years I lived there they tried to raise the rent but if you argue they usually won't. Maintenance - Good in the beginning. Staff - Courteous. Residents - Never had an issue in the 6 years I lived there. Alot of college age kids but I was their age at the time. Bad Crime - Seemed to be more and more of it as the years went on. Check the stats at http://www.arlingtonpd.org/CrimeStats/CrimeSearch.asp Maintenance - One apt I lived in had a bad leak due to the neighbor upstairs not having their washer hooked up right. While this is not the complex's fault it took them forever to get carpet restoration out. Also I did not feel safe with the anti mold processes completed afterwards. Had a serious leak in the bedroom window every time it rained in the second apt I lived in and after reporting it twice it was never fixed! Also a bad mark for not having 24/7 on call answering service after 2004. Bottom Line The last year I was there it seemed the maintenance was going downhill. Even with the last year I have to recommend based on the longer period of good times, possibly the management was disorganized with he most recent change' Just use caution and don't let them gouge you on the rent due to the location.
