I've lived here for 3 years and it has steadily went downhill. Maintenance is great for little things like a broken knob, but terrible for others. My window has leaked for over 2 years everytime it rains hard and the response is that they have to fix the siding. There are broken sprinklers which make huge mud puddles and dowse the steps. I have slid down the steps numerous times when wet. The mud puddles are turning into sinkholes since the majority of the complex is on a slope. Rent and water has steadily became more expensive. There is a terrible ant problem. I have to store the majority of my food in the refrigerator whether I like it cold or not. The trash dumpsters are constantly overflowing, which may be why people leave their trash on the stoops. My year old car has over 20 door dings from my neighbors. My old car was broken into 3 times, once syphoning gas. Not worth the time.

I agree with the comments about maintenance (great for small things, and very friendly, but big things? ehhh...) and sprinklers and the slope. The ants aren't bad in my building, thankfully, and my car hasn't taken any damage. I guess I just lucked out and got considerate neighbors. And I've never had my car broken into (knock on wood), but I have heard of it happening to others in the past.
