Since day 1 I have had nothing but problems. I am a new resident to Texas and this was my first time renting an apartment, I've always lived in a house. Riverbend has definately deterred me from wanting to rent again. The complex is old and it looks just that, especially if you live in the back apartments. The upkeep is minimal, the sidings are falling apart, the railings are rusted, the creek in the back breeds mosquitos and is the local residence for ciceda's, crickets, and frogs and if you live in the back, you'll never forget that, there are a large number of bugs and insects as well as wasps and bees nest, the plumbing is terrible, the pipes make a rumbling sound when you turn them on, when your neighbor is taking a shower it seems as if YOU are taking one since it sounds like its in your apt., and the rent is high for all of these negatives. The manager, PAM SCOTT, seems to be very nice and accomodating when you are first considering to move in, but after she's got you, basically she has no care for you. When I first moved in, I was led to believe and promised that a variety of things were going to be fixed and 11 months later, it still looks the same. Pam does not care about the residents, she only cares about her paycheck. She is a pretender and likes to make potential residents feel like she loves them. She was supposed to get back to me regarding some issues...I am still waiting to hear from her. She shows preferrential treatment to certain residents. There have been several car break-ins in this complex and the response from the office was "aww that's too bad". The lighting in the back, well there is no lighting in the back...that is why it is a lucrative playground for car thiefs. In the past year that I have lived here, I have only seen them clean up the grounds twice, once for an inspection and the other was to take photos for a brochure that they had the audacity to give out to the resident who know what this place looks like. So if you happen to be searching for an apt. online and you come across Riverbend and you see those ooh so beautiful pictures that they took...know that it's all LIES...it looks nothing like what it portrays to be online. I would never recommend this apartment complex to anyone, not even out of desparation. I remember saying the first time I walked into my new apartment..."I feel like I'm living in a cheap motel". The only good thing I can say that I have taken away from this experience, was the friends/neighbors that my daughter and I have made and I like the set up of the apartment and the washer/dryer in the unit(although they had to replace mine the 2nd day), but that can be found at another complex. So, if I had to sum up my review in a few words, it would be RIVERBEND SUCKS!!! qmzu4EHcaGAPVCPw2Fai
