It's all good in the big picture!

When I first came to Riverbend, I was looking for something inexpensive, centrally located, helpful, friendly staff and reasonably maintained. Riverbend met all those expectations! I had looked at many, many apts. before finding this place. I compared prices to square footage, upkeep of apts and grounds, and helpfulness of staff. I have been here over 2 1/2 years now and with the exception of the construction during the upgrades, I love it here. Of course, there are things I would like to have/not have, but if you have ever REALLY searched for a new apt., you would find much worse out there for the price. I have lived in 3-4 apts. in the past in different areas of the Metroplex and this one is right up there with the others! I have known Pam (and later Jennifer) since the beginning, and never felt like they were rude, "shady" (what does that mean anyway')or belittling of a person's request. I think people forget that the final decisions in some requests are made at the corporate level, so sometimes that 'special request' gets shot down by corporate.

On the down side, I have had awful neighbors, but they usually only last about 6 months or so, then move on. I do report 'bad behavior' when it disrupts my peacefulness, and more times than not, they are dealt with in a rapid manner. Remember, patience - and they usually move on! There are ants, but they will treat within a week if you tell them. And they will come back if they are still showing up later. The walls could use additional insulation as I can hear the bass of stereos, showers running and yes, the groan of old plumbing. The upgrades that are currently taking place have made this complex much nicer, although I feel like most of it has been done to attract new tenants, not keep current ones here. Remember, we don't live on the outside - internal upgrades need to happen regularly and to the tenant schedule.

Botton line, if you can find a complex with the square footage/price, maintenance quality, great office staff and nice, but not overdone landscaping that Rivebend DOES offer- jump on it!
