I wrote a previous review for this place, and it's taken me awhile to get back to write this one. I haven't lived there in a few months. When my husband and I left, we left alot of our stuff behind because our lease was up at midnight. We were moving from 10am the day before our lease was up to 7am the following morning. So we didn't have time to get all of our stuff out of there. Pam insisted on calling me, and informed me of the "significant damages" which wasn't anything besides maybe a scratch on the wall from the TV and a few stains on the carpet. She told me that if we did not pay her she was going to turn us over to collectors. So, I called her back once every day, and she was never there, so I instead left her an address of mine to send a list of ALL the things we were being charged for. According to my attorney, if I hadn't received that in 30 days of leaving her an address she could not keep our security deposit. I still have yet to get that list, but rather have bill collectors calling and harassing us. Which I know for a fact is all from Riverbend because we are up to date on all our current and past bills. So I don't know what I'm paying for, how much I owe them. Or anything.

She also left a nice ending to her phone call.
"Now you can go on apartmentratings.com and call me a wicked witch.. Because I am one." (with a smartass tone in her voice, then said) "Have a nice day"

So its clear she reads these things. So Pam if you read this, I'm not fazed in the least with your threats and I WILL NOT pay you a single dime until I know what I'm paying for. As for your rude remarks, and the things you do on the job.. the smartass things you say, try getting your head out of your ass and try and figure out how to be less fake.

(you know who wrote this)

Have a nice day =]

I posted the reply response and I assure you that I do NOT work for Riverbend (nor any Aimco property). I am a resident as I stated in my reply post. Having owned rental properties in the past myself, I am quite familiar with the attitude of tenants who decide to "walk on a lease." I must admit that the beginning statement in the original post that she was glad her lease was about to expire did confuse me - as she said that she vacated the premises before being taken to eviction court. If you are being evicted and you skip out prior to then, what difference does it make WHEN your lease expires? You've decided to abandon the premises prior to lease-end and prior to your legal obligation having expired. That alone speaks volumes about someone's standard of ethics. You say I am "bad mouthing" someone who clearly has "a reason" for being upset? Pray tell, what exactly IS the reason? I noticed that no reason was given for being evicted. I read where Pam "rolled her eyes" and is an "idiot, snobby, and fake." What I did NOT read was a REASON for this person's ire to be so highly raised. I noticed that that was conveniently omitted. Please, reread the original email and if you can tell me a specific "REASON," I would like to know, because I sure didn't see a reason articulated. And as far as having a problem with furniture placement in the apartments - wouldn't it have been logical to think about that BEFORE signing a lease? Look at the model, look at a floor plan, take a tape measure. How does something like that "sneak up" on you? And yet another thing I take issue with - maintenance. They are wonderful! Not one time, not one single solitary time that I have called in for a repair - was that repair not taken care of the same day and fixed correctly from the get go. The maintenance staff is one of the areas in which Riverbend particularly excels. And, again, I AM a resident, not an employee.

I have to agree with the tenant who wrote the original review.I came to look at an apartment here and had a bad experience. I never even leased an apartment because the staff in the office was so completely ignorant. I dont think people should go on here to bad mouth someone who is clearly upset with the staff for a reason, it was probubly a response from someone who works in their office because everyone i know who has rented here hated their experience, not only woth the office staff but the maintanence staff that is apparently non existant. I have to agree the staff is very incompetent and if anything the reviews on here only helped me in by decision to move here, and I am very glad I did not...so thanks!

I agree with the fact that this place is a terrible place to live. I lived here for two years and hated every bit of it. Had I had the income to move after the first year, I would never have signed another year's lease. As it was, I counted down every day until the day I could leave. I can atest to the maintenance being fairly good about 50% of the time. I can say the half they did nothing for was something I could have pursued legal action with. I just did not have the energy or the want to fight with Pam. She makes me tired just thinking of having to talk with her. Seriously, try to find somewhere else to live... seriously.
