when we were looking for a decent apartment complex to have our first child in, we though this one looked pretty good. i thought it looked good for their affordabilty. two and a half years later, after signing our third lease i'm realizing it was't the best decision.

we started seeing roaches. had the pest control people come out and spray. nobody else seemed to have a problem with them but us. six months later the people behind and across moved out and the pest control guy said they were the problem. they moved and it got worse. the bugs just spread out. no matter how much they come out, or what we do on our part, we just aren't getting rid of them. with two small children it really bothers me.

we have had three different vehicles damaged in this parking lot. our cars have been backed into three times, and the door of our pickup was KICKED IN! when these things happen, we go to the office, adn of course, there's nothing they can do. their only suggestion is to call the police, which does a hell of a lot of good, pardon my language.

there seems to always be somebody playing loud music. the people upstairs would party all nght waking my kid up till i called the cops. people pull up with their music rattling my walls.

there is a SERIOUS dog poop problem here. there are "pet stantions" in only two areas that i've seen. anywhere tehre is grass or dirt, there is poop. every now and then the apartments put out a "reminder" letter on all teh doors reminding people to pick up the poop. it's against the law and the apartment ruls. they encourage members of the community to report violators. but in talking to other mothers in my area, people are reciving complaint letters that don't even have animals. how does that happen' and still... there is poop on the ground.

maintanence probems left and right, hand over fist. the water heater in the upstairs apartment has leaked into my son's room twice. the motor went out on the fridge spoiling a good bit of our food that couldn't go in to our big freezer. half the vverticle blinds are held up with tape, and break at the drop of a hat. the guy upstairs didn't turn off the water connection for his washer when he moved last year, which caused a significant leak into my laundry closet. they pulled out a three by three foot section of the drywall, and NVER FIXED IT. said they'd do it when we moved. bad wiring causes out bathroom light to go out all the time. you hav eto hit the wall to make it come back on.

in closing, the administrative personel have a hard time inforcing their rules, it seems. bugs, bad maintenance, loud music, and dog poop await you at sedona springs. i wish some of these reviews were posted before we moved it. i think it might be the last change is ownership/administration. things were good till the past year. it's not worth it, folks.

IF it was so bad why would you live there past your original lease date? And why at that would you sign three more leases? Seems to me someone just made you upset and your making a bid deal out of a lot of little things that people in apartment have to deal with. If you don't want to deal with other people living around you, which all the problems you mentioned were, then go buy a house. Then you will see how much more you really have to put up with.

OK i work at a nearby apartment complex. not for sedona, however, EVERY PROPERTY IN AUSTIN has a dog poop issue. Austin is a dog loving city and unfortunately as long as people have dogs, there will be owners that will not pick up after their pets. Management cannot babysit everyone and they can also not possibly know who the culprits are unless people start tatling on other people. I know it may not seem very 'neighborly,' but if you complain about it and don't help the situation go away, you're just as much a part of the problem. It's sad that people who can't pick up after their pets have pets in the first place, but again, it's not the property's fault that their residents are lazy! I'm sure the maintenance staff gets sick of spending hours on it every day as well!
