It looked descent, it looked like a bargain, it looks like I was horribly wrong! At the moment it is raining, and that rain is slowly dripping out of the middle of my ceiling, on to my computer. I would move it, but I shouldn't have to move my furniture to dodge a leak.

Four months ago, I asked for the leak to be fixed, three weeks later, I was told it was all done. Here I sit, rainwater dripping on me, four months later. On top of that the popcorn spackling on the ceiling was ruined from the first time it leaked, and I had to submit six, SIX maintenance reports before it was repaired. That only took six weeks... (And they just glued it back up, water stains and all) The staff told me 5 days ago, when I complained, that they would send someone out as soon as possible because it was going to rain this weekend to fix it, yet here it is Sunday, raining, and the roof is STILL leaking... Badly.

The A/C unit in my apartment is a travesty. To prevent it from spewing already chilled air back into the suction (which reduces its efficiency dramatically) there are broken pieces of a "NO TRESPASSING" sign jammed in "strategic" places to block the flow of air... I tried to do some minor patch work with duct tape on it to see if I could get it to flow better; One, because I have some skill with things of that nature; And two, because they wont send out maintainance to getting it working properly, and I dare say they would ever, EVER spring for a new unit. Unfortunately, once the flow was better, the rusty drip tray started blasting water all over the shoddy ceiling tiles (When I saw the water stain, I tried to take them down to protect the ceiling, and they fell on me getting dust in my eyes and nearly cutting off my foot when the whole vent fell). I highly doubt the rigging of the A/C unit is kosher, and it doesn't work very well even with the repairsthey have made.

The parking is sub par at best. No assigned spots, the roads are in rather poor condition, the whole lot is basically a river when it rains, after 8 don't expect to get a spot close to your apartment, and the tenants haphazardly throw their garbage in the general vicinity of the dumpsters. Raccoons also tear the garbage up and toss it around the parking lot.

I have been awoken to the sounds of ridiculously loud arguments going on in the apartments next to me, and in the parking lot. Many of the residents either have loud car alarms, or wall shuddering bass on their car stereos. The A/C units are noisy, and the water pipes even more so.

Sidewalks are minimal, standing water a common place occurrence, and the lack of proper footing in areas makes for a slippery walk on the grass when wet, which is always. The paint is trashy, most of it is peeling, and from what I can tell the balconies of all the apartments are the worst areas. Mine has rusty nails sticking up out of it, which I would ask the maintenance to come and fix, but I doubt it would happen.

Most if not all of the maintenance crew speaks no English, and the few times I have actually gotten them to come to my apartment, I was greeted with obvious disdain, or not greeted at all in the case of the non-English speaking members. My bedroom has no lights in it, I'm not allowed to put in and overhead fan/light fixture, and the switch that turns on sockets to turn on lamps' It turns on one, ONE socket, and its right next to the door making me have to run a cord across the floor to even have a descent place to put lamps. Swag kits are illegal, and they will force you to take them down, so don't even think about it. The switch in the living room doesn't even operate the overhead fan/light fixture, actually I can't figure out what it does.

It appears the water is turned off daily for an hour or two for weeks on end, because every time I turn on the faucet I'm scared by loud bursts of air coming out of the faucet. My third floor, east facing, apartment has a 150 dollar a month electricity bill even though I'm not home most of the time, and I have an electronic thermostat set to maintain 85 degrees when im not here.

Don't bother talking to the apartment staff, they are either clueless, not willing to help, or both. They forget everything you tell them, and verbal requests to have things fixed' Forget that! I have been forced to write out a formal request and am having it signed and dated on my copy, just so they don't throw it away and act like it never happened.

Whatever you do, don't rent here! Stay away, tell your friends, family and co-workers. I wouldn't tell my enemies about this place. Its affordable only because it sucks. My money lines the owners pockets, and doesnt go toward anything useful.

That was the funniest thing I've read all day! I like how you worded it, :haphazardly throw their garbage in the general vicinity of the dumpsters" and there was a no tresspassing sign in the vent? wtf? But I agree DO NOT RENT HERE readers! Mold, leaks galore, horrible staff, no parking, gates are never kept closed, HORRIBLE roads, not at all leveled. You'll have to keep buying new tires I swear. Keep away!
