I've lived in these apartments for about six months. Before we moved in we saw the apartment. It had pretty big yellow stains all over the apartment, the carpet was fraying where doors closed and there were dark stains on the countertops. We were assured these would all be replaced before we moved in. They even told us we couldn't see the apartment again cause they were replacing the carpet and counter tops. Which was a big fat lie! We moved in everything was exactly the same, and there was black mold in our storage closet outside. Which we complained about the first day, and they in turn came back to paint over it! I haven't heard of anything bad happening here crime wise, but I live in the front, and I'm sure the majority of situations happens in the back of the complex. About a month and ahalf after we moved in we received out TXU bill for $200!!! I have never had a bill over $80 and that was in the summer and I had a much bigger apartment! I've been on the phone with TXU management many times. They have done some research for me, and they say the average bill for this complex is about $175 per person. That is out rageous. So, we've learned to live without heat or air conditioning at all. And do you know how much our bill is, $100!! Nobody is home from the hours of 6am-6pm. And when we are home we normally only have one light on in one room, and I only do two loads of laundry a week. The management at TXU told me they have many complaints from people at this complex, they figure that they have poor electrical equiptment installed in the apartments and there is little or no insulation in the walls. The first day we moved in our oven door was completely hanging off the oven, and our washer didn't have the barrel in it, and the dishwasher wouldn't close, the corners of the sheetrock had huge dents in it and paint was missing (even though they had assured me they were painting the day before we moved in). And it's kinda funny how they switch office staff so often so you can't blame anything on anybody because they're not even there anymore. I have to admit it is a quiet place to live. The apartments are very small, and not very clean.
