I mainly just want to add support to what most other posts have said.
I too was impressed upon moving in having looked at so many many other apartments. It Seemed friendly, nice (only got to see a model apartment though), quiant and secure.
Well, things slowly changed.
Yes the TXU Energy bills were rediculous! As was the water that started at $20 and somehow doubled'!' Probably because of the yes often running & broken sprinklers.
Had many maitnence issues that took quite a while. The problems were minor and eventualy were attended to after repetedly hounding the office. Later they did enstate a 48 hour policy (or something of the likes) though to assure fixed were made in a timely fashion and it did get better.Nosie was a problem only because I worked nights and they did their noisy maitenence durring the morning. Also, the windows are thin.
My biggest problem was when my safty was jepardized durring my last month of the lease(thankfully the end.)Comming home from work early in the morning I was assaulted durring an attempeted car-jacking. The apartment windows are very thin and no one heard my screams or came to help. Very frightening that it happened at my home. And I was glad to be moving.
I realize that it is very hard to find an apartment to satisfy every need; I wish you luck!!!
