We leased at St. Andrews based on availability, convenenience, and it being generally more attractive than nearby alternatives. We leased for one year, during which we could determine our long-term interest in the area and settle on a home. Every place has its draws and drawbacks. We were upset when the apartment we leased was not like the model shown. Utilities, appliances, and additional front office inconsistencies were motivating us get that home. Whether by competition, negative home inspections, a passive realtor, or our own flawed personalities, the home thing has been a yearlong saga. Making the lease arrangements a saga as well. There has been a lot of waiting-and-seeing. A lot of plans changed, then changed back again. In the same time, management at St. Andrews has also changed -- for the better.

ROXANNA and BECKY have really elevated the level of operations at St. Andrews. Even the mood of the place. They are extremely well organized, always taking the initiative to offer reminders of contract arrangements and to follow-up on maintenance. They are very outgoing, standing at the gate at the first of the month to offer breakfast items to those leaving for work and organizing community gatherings which they announce with monthly calendars posted on the doors. And I fully expect they have been as patient with others as with us, taking the time to understand individual circumstances and to work outside any formulas to accomodate changes of plans. Both ladies go way beyond the basics of their jobs.

The apartments are definitely above average. But our recommendation of St. Andrews is based primarily on Ms. Roxanna and Ms. Becky. They are making it better than it was before their arrival.
